AT should have the first five league games (1 Viewer)

I'd give Thorn the first five league games - Yeovil (A), Sheffield United (H), Bury (H), Crewe (A) and Stevenage (H). Any less than three wins from these five matches against teams, who with the exception of Sheffield United are hardly footballing behemoths, should see Thorn removed. We have to be ruthless and the toleration of Thorn who is a third-rater at best is damaging our club. Keeping him until Christmas if we are mid-table, which will probably see us out of the promotion reckoning and consigned to another year in this wretched division, would be a grave mistake. I think five games to plead his case is what Thorn deserves but if he fails again the excuses will have run out and it will be time for him to go and an experienced manager to be recruited, ie not Carsley or Shaw.

Let's just sack him now.

Why don't you bring a massive Thorn Out banner and start a Blackburn style protest as you feel so strongly about it.

Do you think I am on my own then?

[facepalm]

What an insult to sheep. Thinking about it I can't think of a living creature that wouldn't feel offended to be compared with that sad excuse of a keyboard warrior.

And is he loses the first 4. Then the team containing possibly 7 New signings. Some of whom have never played in the England before start to gel and win game number 5 and play well.

Got to be half a season.

If he loses the first 3 there will not be a 4th.

Interesting version of clean slate.

It would be a completely clean slate. I'm watching the Omen 2. Thorn even survives this one doesn't he?

Well the Poll shows that almost 6/10 want him out on this site after over 100 votes - so it would appear Grendel is not alone.

Did I say it was resounding though? No. But, give it time - we'll get slapped by Accrington Stanley Saturday - when did we last away again?

Maybe not as many people are not as knee jerk as I would have thought.

You did not say resounding which is why I put a,question mark. Meaning despite the result it is thankfully less than I thought.

Fact is none of this matters - he will not be dismissed at this stage of the season and I doubt he will for some time - I maintain that results will start bad and worsen while he is in charge - I am on record as saying that we will be out of the race by Christmas.

He simply does not inspire the courage or will to Win and I believe his preparation is poor - we shall soon see.

Loving this.
.........And after Thorn Sisu scratch their heads and finally appoint Shaw as caretaker while looking for a permanent appointment. Shaw's team win three on the spin and fans clamour that the job should be his. Sisu oblige realising Shaw is on even less than Thorn. The team is found out and lose the next 23......
Those that told us Thorn was useless tell us every day and in abusive terms that Shaw is 'not up to the job'.
Can't wait.

What would inspire you to come up with such a ludicrous concept

I agree it will be a rough start However I think it will steady out. Get two more signings and it will take off IMO

Haven't heard your words of wisdom for a while. Good to see they are "up" to your usual standards.

Yeah, but when it comes to answers as to who will replace AT the 'Thorn out boring morons' are full of bright ideas.......not.

Another thing the anti Thorn intelligentsia struggle with is that AT is in the job because he was and continues to be the cheapest option. Until the owners have
more financial choice their hands are tied.
