After the tragic news about Gary Speed today, people are sadly but inevitably turning their attention to the question of who'll replace him as Wales boss.

When Speed was (slightly surprisingly) given the job, the other main candidates were Chris Coleman, Brian Flynn and Ian Rush. You can probably now add Ryan Giggs to that list, along with Mark Hughes, Kenny Jacket and possibly Kevin Ratcliffe.

But another thought occurs - AT is a former Wales international and with the players in the Wales squad suiting the style of football he favours, AT could be a dark horse for the job especially as the FAW aren't rolling in cash.

Any thoughts? If he doesn't get it, I hope CC does. When he was managed he did a Q&A with the CC London Supporters Club and said "I have to be honest, hand on heart, I'd love to manage my country"

Oh I also think that Dean Saunders will get a mention too...he's been managing in the championship for 2 months, so about as long as Speed before they hired him!

I think he should ditch the diamond, but that's a bit harsh

Would be interesting to Savage doing it, he would be able to make sure the team plays at the right tempo!!!

No need for bad language mate...I was pretty clear in my post that it's sad to have to think about it, but also inevitable. Apologies for any offence.
