It's done at random! It is coded to get things from the Archive and post. From all of the thousands of games it has picked this one FFS!

I was one of them.

Two memories of the day.
1) Oggy's debut match for Coventry
2) Train back to Coventry stuck outside Coventry station for ages. Eventually people just got off the train and walked down the track. That sort of thing is not allowed anymore.

It's an automated thing isn't it, not that bothered personally. Losing at Villa 40 years ago doesn't really sting

Yeah to be fair it's scripted, it picks random games from over the years and posts them. It picks a season at random and then a game from that season at random.

I haven't checked the script though, could be somebody fucking with it.

If it's automated then block it!
It seems that in all the selected games we didn't even score, just to ensure there is absolutely nothing to enjoy.
I can't help feeling that this is some kind of experiment.

- Can you select a game from the league winning season?

- Of course, absolutely!

- It's home to Tranmere, isn't it???

Is incredible how often it seems to pick defeats though! I half expect it to pick "On This Day" and choose when we went into admin!

Is it really needed? Isn't there enough traffic without some automated bot trying to get people to reply?

I’m more concerned that whenever I try to watch I’m told to log in to my YouTube account.

We did tend to lose a lot of games through the 80s

I don't know what you mean, we scored against Scunthorpe!

I like it as an idea, it just appeared suspicious when the first three posted were abject defeats.

I was there too - my only memory is that the coppers were just obnoxious, looking to arrest people for anything.

Glad someone else can remember it!

It was a quite warm afternoon . Once people decided enough was enough "let's get off" nothing could stop everyone leaving although sounds like some tried to.

It has literally only done about 3?

It's a discussion about past games.

Fucking hell.

When people mention worst ever players he has to be up there - he must have thought all of his Christmases had arrived at once when Bobby Gould signed him from Bristol Rovers. The only positive memory of him that I have is that he scored an equaliser at WHL in a night game very early on in the season. Otherwise crap.

What's the point in banning it? You don't have to watch it.

I was at this game too. Can't really remember but I presume we also had seats on the side. There were even fewer of us there on a couple of times I went there in the few seasons before this. The first time I remember us taking loads there was last game of the 88/89 season when we could have potentially sent them down but they dug out a draw to stay up.
