You would think he already has players in mind to bring in. Is Saturday too soon we think or will we have new recruits as soon as he takes his seat?

Usually a new manager come in and assesses the players and squad and has a good look at them first. Can't see there's too much to assess though to be honest. We all know we need pace and a striker at the least.

I'm hoping he's done his homework and that we will have at least one new face in for Saturday.

If he wins his first game on Saturday then he should be sacked immediately, and a new manager in place by Sunday lunchtime.

We may spend a lot on managers, but honeymoon period management will get us promoted in no time.

We had over 40 applications for the post, so this season is covered anyway.

It's a man management thing too though. If you bring I'm say a midfielder on day one the others will get the hump because they haven't been given a fair chance.

Of course the way tiger around that is to change the system and get someone in who we have no equal to (say a quick winger)

When does the loan window close?

I'm hopeful that his first port of call is to reassign the captaincy and advise the sulkers to man-up. I'm hoping for a Clough style lecture at Ryton today or tomorrow. "Forget your big staium because it's empty, forget your great training facilities because you haven't won all season, forget your bonuses because you haven't earned them. You're second from bottom in league one and you all obviously believe you shouldn't be. Prove it."

35 of them were just people trying to get their "jobs applied for this week" quota up for their jobseekers allowance though.

I believe he will bring 2-3 players on loan, even though a manager is out of work they still continue their scouting links.
The slate is clean, so it'll be upto the current squad to prove themselves worthy of selection, the Brum match proved many are more than capable.

Got a feeling Ball and Brown will be sent back to their parent clubs.

I agree he'll probably already have players in mind to bring in on loan. I suspect though that, the way Fisher & Waggot run our club, he'll have been told he'll need to free up wages by loaning players out first. If that's the case, then his first decision will be who to get rid of. I can't imagine that this would tax his brain too much......the hard bit will be to find clubs which want to take them!

How many emergency loans can we bring in?

The way we have been playing we urgently need at least 11

If they have a Honeymoon Period like Adams had here, we'll be relegated without a win though.

I'd like that, but I think there's a rule with season-long loans that they can only be cancelled in cases of injury?

Maybe it comes from spending most of my life abroad and speaking in tongues, but I really can't work out your response. Is it for or against the players or for or against breaking their legs.
Yours,
Confused

If he'd seen them play, he wouldn't think breaking their legs was crossing the line. I know, subtle and complicated, wasn't it?

Seen them play, not impressed. Plus, I was only kidding around. Wouldn't wish anyone any harm.
