I think people sometimes don't take part in protests because they don't think it achieves anything. Fair play if people want to go and protest but some of the protests that have happened have been useless, people won't give up their time for something they don't think will work.

Nice idea but won't happen. Can't muster more than 100 on the hill when we have an excuse to be there, no chance of getting 5k to go to Northampton just for a march/piss up.

Ok, go there disrupt the town piss the locals off, get some attention to the shitty situation we are in, our plight as a club is known and well documented. It wont acheive anything, SISU have pretty much done or will do everything they said they would do, moved us, build a new ground and bring the club back (just not the Ricoh), they have their agenda, plans for a ground discussions with a neighbouring council over land and planning all confirmed, all the posturing and bluffing they were doing, you know, they wouldnt take us out of Cov, they wouldnt purchase land or build a new ground........time will tell but i think they will.

Standing up for what you beleive in is fine, you have to do what you think is right, i applaud anyone protesting and trying to make a point, it may well get good puclicity, but where it matters, the powers that be, i think it will fall on deaf ears, and wont make a bit of a difference!

Just an opinion.

This is a great idea and yet again good ideas are talked down. Even one coach party demonstrating outside the Northampton Council House would get TV coverage.

I'm in.

If someone sticks on some coaches I'll happily come along for a day on the piss.

Can't be in January though as I'm on the wagon.

Thanks in advance.

Don't you feel life is a waste? I love CCFC but for God's sake most of you seem almost paranoid about the situation. YOOHOO you do realise the Berlin wall came down, Mandela was released from prison and communism was defeated by it's own people. March through Northampton for CCFC? Are you on drugs? Why not march for better education or a better health services? Drink is a terrible drug and I suggest if it clouds your mind so much, give it up.

Take 2 minutes to think about the following -

Question 1 - Do I love my club and it is extremely painful to watch it being torn apart?

If Answer is Yes - Carry on - If no - come off this thread

Question 2 - Would I like to stand up for what I believe is right and try to disrupt my club playing in Northampton ?

Yes ? Carry on..

Question 3 - Did I join the masses in Coventry who protested in the summer but although a fabulous day, did not really get what I was looking for as was a non match day?

Yes ?? Carry on

Question 4 - Do I feel my club and all the happiness and pain it has gave me deserves better, all the history we have had together, from being in the west end at my beloved Highfield Road to a 1.0 victory at the Ricoh Arena and that feeling walking out after feeling satisfied and talking amongst friends.

Question 5- Do I feel my club structurally is a big club and we have a decent numbered fanbase, far more than what Sisu seem to think we have?

Question 6 - Would I like to partake on a Cov on the piss day in Northampton?

Yes ? well read on...

TIME FOR ACTION..

Protest In Northampton - NOT in the stadium.

* Bring Northampton to a standstill
* Stretch local resources
* Be Polite and legal
* 5,000 marching through Northampton would make the policing costs sky rocket
* Northamptonshire police would put pressure on the FL and Football Club
* Show we have not gave up and not died away
* Make a stance to all involved in this sorry mess.

If this was to happen.. we could come together as one.

Yes it's business people, but lets cause them more pain.

Just a suggestion.. the other.. sit back argue amongst ourselves, as Sisu WILL NOT return to the Ricoh even if 200 fans went it makes no difference to them, but making Northamptonshire think twice.. just might start to turn the screw.

And that is why we are doomed.
Nobody wants to do anything just slag off those that do.

Good job we have a few hardcore protesters who don't really care what others think!! but will keep going until they hit a nerve somewhere, the more protests the better we will get it right in the end.

And yes I am one of them....

Mandella fought for what was right. so should we.
As for communism look at how our club is being run the masses have no say.
We also need to bring down that wall that surround our Club.

As for the other marches they have already been done now is our time.

Ok, was it incorrectly spelt, or was the punctuation the real issue?
My gripe was with the edited quote!
Trying to call someone a cu*t and spelling it cant, typing with a cockney accent?

Rule 1. If you have to correct someone it is best to know the difference between grammar and Grandma.

Rule 2. When saying people are sad on here for editing posts try not to edit your very next post

See my point now?

Nothing worse than jumping on someone for being wrong and being wrong!
Enough.
Have a good day!

Thanks for correcting the spelling of my post to how you think it should be spelt

I don't correct people normally, but couldn't resist you correcting a joke and getting it wrong

Oh well you and I are two of them....

I would say it is more about being passionate about what we believe, whichever side you are on.

If people really wanted to get the club back to the Ricoh they'd put pressure on the council and ACL to just let the club play there for free and keep all the money it generates. (The Ricoh makes enough money without the club so we're told, so why tap into club incomes).
Will never happen I know, people would see it as helping sisu.

if sisu were here for the club that would be great, but sisu want the ground to flog it and head off back to the caymen islands , so why should they get it for nothing, if they pay for it, great , i'll help pack their suitcases for the cayems.

Yeah, let's all go and lob tennis balls at the council house!!!

Could push it a little, bring a football and get a mass game of wall-y on the go!

I can see the poor old caretaker running down the stairs now with a "NO BALL GAMES" sign to put on the council house wall

I like the idea maybe people from Northampton might join in and swell our numbers ????
Surely us being there is detrimental to their own teams chances ?
