All people have got to ask themselves is how many English lads would get in the Australia team (root, stokes and broad maybe…duckett at a massive push based on innings in this game) ? Even considering that they’ll probably only be two up because of our dropped catches, poor/unlucky spells of bowling when conditions were in our favour and a couple of individual horrific/brainless shots…not because of ‘bazball’

I hate "Bazball". I love cricket and have done all my life, but I don't particularly like T20. Bazball is making Test cricket more like T20-I like the slow tactical game, not the fast game with "we just made up this tactic, good innit?" arrogance. I would say it is against the Spirit of the Game rule. And for this Aussie team, that is trying to rehabilitate its image after one of the most high-profile cheating incidents in the history of the game a few years ago, that is not a good look.How is it cheating?
It is, but Bazball also contains "We will stick to our plan and not back down" as part of it's makeup, so of course there is no real way of turning that off. As for the merits of it-it has some, but the obstinance of sticking to plans when a bit of flexibility is required has bit England already and it will do again. And that 8 down declaration was ridiculous. The modern world is full of dislocated thinking, doing things a certain way because "japes, nobody has ever done it this way before!" But sometimes, that's because the established method is proven to be better.
