I'll go out on a limb and say that if we get very near to or over 400 then we'll win the match and retain the ashes.
Bairstow looks much better playing alongside batsmen. When he was with the tail he looked jumpy and he's much more settled at 6. Ali can give it a thrash at 7 with the tail.
For me Bairstow needs to push on and get a century now and Mo needs to hit at least a half when he comes in. Even if Malan didn't add many more that gets us up near 400. If neither of those things happen I'd be nervous (unless Malan ends up with a double century of course...). Overton and Broad can bat a bit on their day but I wouldn't want to be relying on them to get us to a decent score, especially with the short stuff coming down.

For me we need to get to circa 500 to have a chance of winningThink tomorrow morning could go either way. You would hope England can build on their score and go past 400. However, a couple of quick wickets and I wouldn't be surprised if we were all out for 370.
