No one yet!! Blue is correct. No one close make. If no one gets it by midday I will choose a winner anyway. Probably the funniest entry!!

Luton Today got it wrong then!
In your interview with them they write it was a punto:

Rejected Peter wanted to bring back Luton Town’s plastic pitch!

I did crash my Punto. About 5 years ago. That wasn't the car that was crashed on the M1 in 1997 ;-)

Was it a trabant? I gather they were the car of choice for Makams back in the day? Normally with a bob stokoe hat air freshener.

Not sure where abouts it happened but yes. We were part of the crash that held the whole of the M1 up. We used rope to secure our bonnet in order to still get to Selhurst Park.

Would you mind telling your friends on the Sunderland forum that you were the reason we got to White Hart Lane late, and that we didnt do it on purpose to delay the kick off.

It's a bad idea. . . I mentioned it before (and a lot have read the book) - the argument is that we crashed and then 15000 of our fans and team still made it to south London in time, yet yours was delayed in north London?!

Two big crashes? Do you think it's time to let someone else do the driving?

That's all folks . . . Unfortunately no one guessed the correct make of car. It was in fact a Daewoo. There were 3 picture entries I liked but the one I liked most was that of Liquid Gold - message me your address and I'll post a book out straight away. Thanks everyone who got involved.

Yes, but as you lot had further to go, most of your fans will have been past the point of where the accident happened whereas ours weren't.

Too much logic in that for us!! nothing to do with timings, distance and the previous 37 games!! All to do with a 15 minute delay on the day!!

A Daewoo? Getting smashed up was the best thing for it.

They were first sold here in 1995 though so might have still been drivable before the accident

Largely based on Vauxhall components IIRC.
I feel robbed that rejected didn't give the model or colour.
Or was it Blue? :-(

Was about 2000 that Vauxhall took over. Gave up on the brand about 5 years later. But IIRC they survive under different names. Think Holden in Australia is one. And they make stunning performance family style cars cheaply.
