Saturday And , for those that aren't going - Anyone going to go to Villa Park and hopefully see AFC Bournemouth relegate Villa ? AFCB are what I like to call my ''Second Team '' so , would be the next best thing to CCFC relegating Villa .

I have no interest in whether they are relegated or not, to be honest.

I don't like them but they are a huge club that has been allowed to go to waste and if I was a rich man looking to buy a club it would be the first place I would look as they have masses of potential.

No, really I haven't. The whole Villa thing has never bothered me too much. I've never said Vile either. Nor Incester. I am older than twelve though, maybe that's it.

IF we had a local rival that gave a flying fuck about us (see definition of 'rivalry') then maybe I would go if I wasn't watching City.

But seeing as we don't then no I won't be.

It should come with a disclaimer. That wallpaper, or more to the point the message on it, clearly no longer sticks.

Your reply is irrelevant , as it's nothing to do with the original thread.

Why do we have so many fans that are so disgusted at the thought of
a local rivalry.Fans of all other clubs positively revel in it,what's the harm
in it,not enough passion in our club.
Probably one of the reasons we are shit.

Problem is that neither Villa, Leicester, Blues etc seem that bothered about us....

When we were in freefall a while ago I did wonder if we'd end up playing Nuneaton!

We could end up playing them as they blast past us after their big takeover

I'm not disgusted by the 'rivalry', throughout the 80's/90's did my fair share of SOTV and can honestly say that being present on both occasions at VP when we beat them rank in my top 5 of greatest moments watching City. I'm actually embarrassed about what I see as more of an obsession as opposed to a 'rivalry'. It's not actually a rivalry when only one party bares any grudge. We do end up looking like desperate mugs at times when the subject gets aired.
Just face the fact - Like Leicester we don't have an immediate rival. Just my view on it.
