Signed for Everton. No surprise that Martinez has gone back to go old club for a player, but is he really that good? I do fear Everton are going to turn into the new Wigan of the Premiership. Certainly can't see him bettering anything Moyes managed!

Given he has signed three players from a relegated side you have to wonder what the plan is. I can only assume he is trying to add a bit of depth. Clearly he knows the guys and there is an argument Everton need a striker and a spare centre back, and I assume Robles has been signed as a long-term replacement for Howard, but if I was an Evertonian I might be worried if there were more signings from Wigan except McCarthy.

i thought this too , cannot see how Everton can improve with these players and was slightly shocked they went with martinez , i hope the Everton fans realised they overachieved with Moyes ,had them at there very very best , Think they will finish bottom half

in my opinion martinez is over-hyped. if he was that good a manager he wouldve realised his wigan needed a good couple of defenders and a decent striker. the city team that got relegated from the prem wouldve smashed last seasons wigan team

Not a good Idea to implement too much change ,the rest of the squad who have always given all for the previous manager and the Club will become unnecessarily unsettled IMO.
