Would like to see what Boothroyd could get out of him in terms of a fresh and more motivated Gunnarsson. Didn't score enough goals last season although was really unlucky on a few occassions, but then again on too many occassions he was uncomposed in front of goal especially in one on one situations with the GK. I can't remember him creating too many goals either, but if someone can prove me wrong with a few examples please do so

Gunnarsson was supposed to be more attacking this season with Deegan and Clingan doing the more defensive work but even Deegan managed more goals then Gunnarsson in far fewer appearances and first spell in this league so that's why I would have expected more goals from him to be fair. Opposition have also seem to have worked out how to defend his long throws as well, although if I remember we scored 1 or 2 from them, Peterborough and Cardiff at home for example if I remember rightly but overall I don't think they were as effective as his first season.
I'd like him to stay because I think under Boothroyd he can overcome his poor second season and the old Gunnarsson will come back but I'm sure for the right price Ranson wouldn't turn down the offer considering apart from Westwood we don't really have anyone we can command a high sum of money for to balance the books. Will be interesting to see what happens anyway and the clubs that are supposedly after him are in better positions then ourselves so they obviously think he is quality.
