to the OP, he hasnt been getting nearly as much service as he was, doesn't look tired. Frustrated maybe.

FFS it was a joke about him being in 1D and tired as a result! I wasn't even at the game today!

Sorry Samo even went over my head.
Too sophisticated and too full of Turkey and ale
to figure it out.

He has been found out (sort of). We need to play a second striker to pull the opposition defenders away from him to give him more space.

Can't speak for today as I couldn't go, but when I've watched him, he seems to thrive of Maddison in behind him. He was quiet all game v Oldham last week but when JM came on he seemed to perk up and make more runs. Was it similar today?

Won't be long till Maddison starts a game then we'll see Armstrong thrive again the lad was on his own up front. Look at Vale when they got the ball there were three or four of them in the box we got it we had one sometimes two good job they couldn't hit a barn door

Fotune will be ahead of Tudgay in the striking pecking order it seems should be Armstrong be rested.

Different type of players for me, plus Tudgay has a far better scoring record.

I'd play Murphy there, I think he'd be terrifying playing off the last man.

Edit: so I've already posted in this thread, almost the same comment. That's enough Internet for me today I think.

Murphy played through the middle vs Gillingham didn't he? Also Colchester (I think). It would be interesting to see Tudgay and him, Tudgay is a clever player.

The lad is class
I would like to see him get 90 minutes of Madders inter playing with him.
An 18 year old needing to be rested?

Pointless resting him we might only have him for a few more games

Armstrong needs dropping. Everyone has him down as the messiah but on current form he doesn't warrant a start. Then again we don't have anyone else...so catch 22.

Even if Armstrong stays till the end of the season, TM needs to bring another decent option in the Jan window

Yep 5 goals in his last 8 games and top scorer in the division.

Deffo needs dropping

If we did drop him then it would only be to play a different style. MAF up front with Murphy or Maddison in the 10.

Not sure Chesterfield away needs that sort of a formation so I say stick with him at least for one more game

Considering he was on fire at the stat f the season when at times we had 4 attacking players (wasn't it a front four V Millwall?) and now we essentially have one with a man behind who keeps being chopped and changed could be an added factor
