Exactly, no individuals just a solid team, not seen many teams over the years as close as this one, just shows when you stick with players and let them settle in what can happen, half that team would even be here if it was up to us fans

Well, the team was only behind Leeds and Burnley last season after Xmas. A marginal improvement on that over 46 is pushing automatic promotion.

Cards on the table: I don’t believe we’ll win the league. Ipswich are still favourites in my eyes and thankfully? We play them twice in December and that will tilt the favour one way or the other.

Sakamoto has come on leaps and bounds this season.

He's already matched the number of goals he scored last season.

He wasn't great last season. Went missing in a lot of games and was very one dimensional at times.

His crossing, decision making on the ball, and eye for goal have all improved.

Hard disagree on that. I look at them individually as well as a positional unit and we are top for a reason

Rushworth - is one of the best keepers in this league

Milan - The best RB in the league
Thomas and Kitching- singularly there is probably better in this league, but as a unit? Youd be hard pressed for better
Dasilva - come on leaps and bounds, maybe not the best in the championship but deffo top 5 on current form

Grimes - The championship Rodri, best in the league in that position
Torp - maybe not the best in the championship again, top 5 CM's
Rudoni - no one in this league is better in the 10

Midfield as a unit? Maybe Morris and Hackney as a pair are up there, but other than that I dont see anything better than a Grimes Torp Rudoni unit

EMC/BTA - Defenders shit themselves from EMC, I may not be his biggest fan but again, not many better. BTA is in the form of his life and can grab a goal from any situation. Them 2 as left wing options, again, I cant see better in the championship

Haji - an enigma, either dog shit or unbelievable but the stats dont lie, since we signed him hes been one of the best strikers in the championship and will continue to be so

Tats - seems to have got rid of his invisible games and gone up a notch. Defenders have no clue what hes going to do and he is a constant threat this season, again, not many better in this league

As a unit that front 3 is a danger all across it, full of goals and assists. Once more, not many other units in this league up top worry me

Then we have the likes of Woolfenden, Eccles, Simms, KKH to come in if needed and all are capable at this level to do a job when called upon.

I was like you a few weeks back thinking this run will end soon. But we need to admit that we do have one of the best sides in this league without a shadow of a doubt. 1/3 of the season gone and we are top by a country mile. You don't get there by luck

I think the first choice 11 and then the next couple beyond that is as good as or better than any other in the league. There’s an issue with depth where Ipswich overtake us, but that’s what parachute money gets you.

We've been averaging pretty much 2 points per game for Lampard's entire year in charge. We've picked up about 20 points more than the next best team in that time. We're the best team in the league which is why we're already essentially 8 points clear of third. It's happening, mate.

100% this. Our fans do seem to love overrating other sides teams as well eg. Tanganga etc.

Each week the team sheet for the opposition comes out and it’s rare that I see anything to fear.

Agreed. There are some very good players scattered across the division of course but talking full 11s i see nothing to worry about. I said early on i thought Southamptons for example looked surprisingly poor, some people still half expect them to rocket up the table i think but i can't see it.

King has said we need more bodies in during the January window and that will be, for me, the reason behind whether we take it seriously or not. At this moment King will be getting the people ready to bring in and we must look at four or five players that can make it in the premier.
If we can win 4 or 5 games between now and January we will still be in the top two and depending on 'who' we bring in matters. King needs to bring in 'statement' signings to motivate all connected with the club, that may possibly be premier youngsters with a view to sign if promoted.
We need a left back, a centre back, a player who can play either wings and two midfielders. As was stated on another thread we would be lost without Grimes and we need to bring someone who has experience and talent. We cannot rely on the current squad playing the last 20 games tired and fatigued, we need to have the right people to cover.
Sorry, because I love Bids and Allen and Eccles but we cannot depend on them to get us over the line after January.

Perhaps on loans with obligations to buy if promoted but we’d need to be firmly in the autos for that.

Ah that’s what we need. No more.

Part of success is tight squad, you have to be careful what we bring in, what’s their attitude like, who are we leaving out potentially - we should be looking to buy ready made players who can come in and hit ground, not the time for project players in Jan.

What do we even need 5 players for? The only teams bringing that many players in Jan are generally desperate. Sends all the wrong messages to the existing squad and that’s before integrating players.

2 players would be ideal, 3 would great. Right now, we definitely need one winger as a bare minimum.

A universal winger who can play on either wing, a CB and a midfielder is all we need. More is just icing

I think that Andrews and another U21 are registered as senior players. He/they can be relistted as U21s to make more space if needed.
