Best way to look at it. When we went up part of the fun was that right up until we got a late winner at yours in the penultimate game most of us thought we’d fall just short. The sense of entitlement from some of our fans this year is pathetic.No. Wheels could come off at anytime.
I just wonder if you are now really starting to believe you can go up. For what it’s worth, I think you can and that you will.
Do I believe we can? Absolutely. Do I believe we will? Not just yet. We're in a fantastic position, the best since we got relegated from the Prem, and I'm loving every second of it but there's a long way to go. If we get to halfway in the top 2 and add the 1/2 signings we need in January then yes, I'll fully believe.I just wonder if you are now really starting to believe you can go up
Do you think Tractor Boys will put a run together? Will McKenna be tempted to go to Celtic?Hi,
Ipswich fan here. Believe it or not I don’t usually post on the sites of other teams, rarely post on our own one (TWTD) but I registered a couple of years ago to commiserate on your FA cup semi final defeat and have been back a few times since as you seem such a decent bunch - proper fans supporting a proper football club. Last time I posted was to tell you I thought Woolfy would be a great signing for you. I know it’s not worked out so far (I watched him get terrorised by Moore against Wrexham) but he’s a decent player who will come good. He’s certainly much better than that performance would suggest.
I just wonder if you are now really starting to believe you can go up. For what it’s worth, I think you can and that you will. There’s something happening that seems special. Once in a generation stuff where the players, manager, fans, the whole city is on the same page. Watching the clips of The Enemy playing pre-match the other night gave me goosebumps. So many similarities between you this season and us 2-3 seasons ago. Individually not outstanding (I mean no disrespect by this you’ve got some very good players) but so much greater than the sum of their parts.
No. I will be happy when we are mathematically safe and then enjoy anything else that comesHi,

We had about 20 years worth of good luck in the year we went up. For years every fine margin seemed to go against us and then for about 18 months we were on the right side of just about every marginal one. A good example is injuries. George Hirst (he’s gone backwards , was better two seasons ago) got injured just before the January window opened. We signed Kiefer Moore on loan. If it had happened a month later we’d have been woefully short up front. January is importantly and as you say injuries is key.Im definitely on board, although there are a lot of people on here just waiting or expecting the wheels to fall off.
I guess thats what happens when you've been the nearly men for so long.
One issue we have is that our squad doesn't have enough quality in depth, so we need some luck on the injury front if we are to maintain our form over the whole season, but when everyone's fit I firmly believe we have the best 11 in this division.
When we are forced into major changes we dont look nearly as impressive. (See Wrexham away)
We are known for playing well against the better teams, but drop points against mediocre clubs, so its good to see us pick up wins at places like Derby, Portsmouth and Millwall, which are all places where we would sometimes struggle.
So fingers crossed, we avoid injuries and continue the March to the Premier league.
Yep 100% believe. I'm the sort of cocky twat that I hate on X in all other fanbases who others will be so glad to give it to me if we ultimately fail. I've been dishing it out to anyone who will listen for weeks now (online and in face to face) and I know (hope) I'm starting to get under their skin a bit. We've had the rough times, now I feel it's almost my duty to be a bigger c**t than normal.
I've even tried to justify the £45 tickets that I don't agree with simply because I know it winds others up

Yes I think we will. Whether it’s going to be enough is questionable. We badly lack a real leader (Morsy was the best captain we’ve had in decades, only Mills and possibly Butcher come close for leadership). We’ve got lots of great attacking players that are lovely to watch but we still lack a cutting edge at times. Watford on Tuesday was another example of us creating good chances and not taking them.Do you think Tractor Boys will put a run together? Will McKenna be tempted to go to Celtic?
Only thing for me is if we pick up any injuries, mainly to Grimes, Wright and Sakamoto. Our midfield is still missing someone who can come on and close up shop last 20 mins. I hope that DK supports FL in the window, another 1, maybe 2 in key positions will make me feel a lot easier around the challenge being fully delivered.Hi,

Nope. Hoping we’ll be safe from relegation soon tho. We are Cardiff 2010 until proven otherwise.
Can’t win every gameI might start to believe around May time, but even then, I'd probably still need someone to pinch me just to make sure it's not some kind of cruel dream!
It's a long old season and in this league more than most, anything can happen. We saw that against Wrexham.
More importantly you then followed it up with a win and after being a goal down.I might start to believe around May time, but even then, I'd probably still need someone to pinch me just to make sure it's not some kind of cruel dream!

Our squad looks ridiculously strong for this league - Jack Clarke as an impact sub, Nunez an occasional starter, several £10m + players on the bench every game but the balance isn’t right, we lack an identity and have no idea what our best 11 is. I’m not being critical, just honest. Without wishing to harp on about 23/24, back then we had a settled side and barring injuries you could name 8 or 9 guaranteed starters every game. There’s plenty of time and if we do really click we could go on a long winning run but we’re in November and are still patchy.Still think your squad is way above anything in the League - you will be top two.
For us to sustain anywhere near what we've done so far, we need luck, no injuries to key players, more luck and for fine margins to fall in our favour more often than not, and maybe a few clubs coming in for managers of rivals.
We have players that are performing above their levels - Asante for example - how long can that last....
We have a tough run from now until Christmas - if we are still with reach of top two after that - I might start to believe.
We are Coventry City
