Are we going to "shit" our way up!? (8 Viewers)

We’ve also conceded 12 in our last 7!
Yeah the defence is a huge problem. We keep conceding and will probably get found out on this at some point. I never have any faith in keeping a clean sheet. When we were 2-0 up yesterday, I knew we were gonna let them back in the game. It’s an amazing run, but so much improvement still needed to compete in the play offs or, heaven forbid, the premier league.

Nobody should even worry about this squad in the PL. If we did go up, it would look totally different come the start of next season.

Bit of a sensationalist title - but think you know what I mean;

After the the last few seasons and some of the flair, going forwards, having players like Hamer, Vik, O'Hare, playing some exciting football and failing to get over the line....
Are we/could we manage to just grind/luck our way into the play-off and possibly beyond with this group of just not very exciting or real stand out performers after all that has gone before!?!

Or will we possibly be found out/have used up all our luck before the end of the season.

Discuss.....

No. Only 16 goals shy of our modern day goals scored in a season.

Nothing shit about that.

Two scenarios for me:

1: Finish 5th, beat Sunderland over two legs, lose to Sheffield United at Wembley.

2: Finish 6th, lose to Sheffield United over two legs.

They are so much better than we are.

EDIT: that's if we get into the play offs in the first place, of course.

i thought Middlesborough were better than us a couple of years ago, and the completely didnt turn up in the playoffs

play offs are very funny things, alot can happen. Binks in the semi final was unplayable (so was sheaf) if we get EMC, MVE and thomas back in, and everyone plays how well we know they can, we could cause a real upset.

There will also be a disgusting amount of pressure on their manager, the players, the club as a whole.

That kind of pressure has the habit of messing with people’s minds.

Very true.. anything can happen. Look how many dodgy calls we had against Notts County in the Lg2 play off run.. what’s to say it wouldn’t happen again
Yeah the mood around the ground that evening was that we had little chance, especially with the rumours that McNulty was out injured.

I know we were quite well beaten at the away game, but I really fancy us to beat Sheffield United over 2 games for some reason.

Got a feeling we could slip up against Sunderland

Just think Sheffield United are definitely beatable and might have an implosion within them at some point, whereas Sunderland are due a result against us

Sunderland are due a result against anyone at this rate…

Shit house our way. We deserve to be where we are 6th at the moment.

Can argue the league isnt that strong.... But theres counter arguments the league is very string as in all 24 teams is as competitive as its ever been. The relegation battle is ridiculous. Usually theres a couple of teams like your Rotherhams etc who are cannon fodder.

Like Notts County they'll definitely go in to the game thinking it's already won. That sort of complacency can really help us! Especially if we just play Chris Wilders comments about the players getting Robins sacked on repeat in to the changing room before each game.
