Not really recent and in the cup.

Their team in that game was majorly depleted too.

As we stand, probably not. Which is not to say we wouldn't have more points than them if we were in the premier league. We will have to make big improvements (particularly in defence) should we go up, and I'm sure we would.

If we played them home and away we'd probably come out even.

Better team culture, spirit and understanding between the squad but probably not better individuals.

If we went up I said before I think Leeds are who we'd have to emulate if we want a chance to stay up. Keep a core, buy from physical leagues like Germany and then take some punts on some players that have experience but maybe have lost form or had injury problems like DCL

No but if we go up I'd be pretty confident we could build a better team, it shouldn't be difficult as they are pap. We sure as hell wouldn't have Adam Armstrong up front either.

I watched the game tonight and it was effing awful! Don't think I will enjoy the football in the premier league when we go up.

They have given up. We showed last game we're up for it.

If the same question was given about Leicester a year ago what would the replies have been? Wouldn't surprise me if Wolves do similar to Leicester next season.

Elephants are like 55x bigger than a single wolf. No contest. Choice of mascot matters.

How many wolves would it take to take down an elephant?

Dunno but I remember little Alan Green’s hattrick taking Wolves down in 1976.

No, the step up to premier league is massive. We would require a complete squad overhaul if we were promoted.

Absolutely not
Joao Gomez, Andre, Agbadu, Toti, Krejci, Bueno, Wolfe, Angel Gomes, Arokadare
Players of that quality would all easily start for us, Joao Gomez and Andre combined are a higher value than our squad probably

We actually flipping destroyed them and schooled them for 98 mins. At their place what you on about. FA cup quarter final! Something they dont do often.

Highest XG ever at their place by opposing team. What was it 4.5xg for oppo team is insane.

We should have won 5-2

Not recent though really, and they were missing first teamers. As a lot of people are saying its a big step up. I think it would be a close game vs them as we stand.

I think Wolves will walk the league (if they recruit to replace Bueno/André) next season.

They're probably better than their points tally suggests, I think Burnley for instance are probably worse player for player.

We are definitely better than Qarabag. They are absolute dog shit, some of their defenders look levels below national league.

1 win in 27 games is absolutely diabolical. I can see the argument that they perhaps have better players than Burnley who frankly need to stop wasting everyones time by getting promoted, but i can't see why they would 'walk the league' over, say, whoever finishes 3rd bottom.

Better “team”? Maybe

Individually better players? No

My wife, a lifelong Wolves supporter, thinks their owners have lost interest in the club and they will sell their best players over the summer. She thinks that, as things stand, our playing squad is almost as good as theirs and we will have a better one if we strengthen on promotion.

It’s obviously difficult to compare teams in different leagues, particularly given that the Premiership is at a much higher level than the Championship.

I’d be surprised if Wolves aren’t well in the hunt for promotion next season. They have sold players for big money over the past couple of years and I don’t think they have the financial problems that Leicester do.

Armstrong could prove to be an astute buy, as he is a proven goalscorer in the Championship, even though he has never cut it at the highest level.

If their owners have lost interest and they sell their best players, they might not be the end of the league their fans hope they might be!

Fair point, their points return is shambolic. I do think they were left high and dry, they sold top players in the summer that are literally Champions League quality. What they bought in took time to settle and are also probably not at that level anyways.

Their performances haven't been that bad either generally, I bet their underlying stats are way above the position they hold.
