Listening to Mark Schwarzer on Talksport this morning and he is giving information to an Aussie Consortium about clubs in England that they may try and purchase. Alan Brazil asked him about the Charlton link and Mark replied by saying don't believe everything you read in the papers there are other clubs where fans would welcome new investment/owners. Again a little hope but again SISU would need to be willing to sell....

Would be just our luck to be rid of Fisher's smug face to be replaced by some horrible whining Aussie accent.

Charlton have denied anything regarding a sale to them. It is interesting though that the offer of 20mill would not have included the stadium.

David Davutovic, who appears to be a well known sports journalist in Australia, is reporting that Coventry and Charlton are the two clubs the consortium is looking at and 'aim to take a new club over by the start of next of season':

I think the fact they're looking to appoint a new manager that appeals to the clubs fans rules out Coventry, because we already have one appointed don't we?
It'll be Charlton, a London club will have more appea to Aussies, considering half of Australia lives down there!
