You might need to ring the ticket off, you can definitely move your season ticket after purchase at least once so shouldn't be an issue

It doesn't allow you to do it - you have to pay the additional £50 - they have said they will not take calls and will look at e mails "when they can"

To be fair, it’s a very minor concern. It’s likely to be 1 game a season, look at this season, our longest cup run for yonks and we only had 3 home games

And one of them was a replay, which have been axed.

So the SBT Branch of the CBS Gestapo are telling me I must move if I wish to stand because I won’t be allowed to in B16?

Got it.

People are just making the point that given there are now designated standing areas then if you want to stand you should probably choose one of those.

Not sure moving seats at the footy is comparable to the holocaust really.

A tale for our times.
Some fans moan that they can't stand and do it any way.
This creates conflict with other fans, health and safety rules and ground regulations.
We are told that lots of fans want safe standing.
The club listens and provides safe standing, at no extra cost to supporters.
Many fans refuse to move to safe standing - saying we will continue to stand where we are thanks.

There’s been nothing wrong with standing in 16 for all these years, and there still won’t be. You seem to think people might suddenly move from 20, or wherever, to 16 with the intention of sitting down because there’s now an alternative safe standing area. Not gonna happen.

To be fair, the club did ask where the fans wanted safe standing then built it somewhere else

Made my decision today in the end and have moved from block 16 but to the safe standing in block 14 so we don't get moved for cup games, plus still get to use the concourse we are used to.
My two lads are under 14 but love standing and the atmosphere and all the site did was say the club advise safe standing is 14 plus, nothing stopped me purchasing the tickets with them assigned to them

I'm just saying there's no reason for you not to move. You could go on right now and buy in block 13 or 14 in the safe standing area. Why wouldn't you do that if you're planning to stand?

It’s almost like people have forgot these are for sitting on, not just there for the sake of it?

Because I’m happy where I’ve stood for years. Which there is also nothing wrong with

I would argue there is something wrong with it now there are specific areas for standing. You're potentially making things difficult for people just because you want to be stubborn.

We are staying in 15 as one lad doesn't feel he can move away from his now deceased dads old seat. Is that okay?

Hardly. I must’ve missed you telling everyone to sit down anywhere that hasn’t had safe standing in the past.

Can see it now. Blocks 15/16 sitting down making little noise, and getting slagged off by the new breed of safe standing snobs “having to create all the atmosphere”

Not necessarily moving, new ST holders might buy there unaware it's where people stand.

Not gonna have this argument with like 5 different people lol, but seems fairly logical to me that people who want to stand should buy standing tickets and people who want to sit should buy seated tickets, even if that means moving over a block or two.

You'll find below move to 15 even though it is not safe standing for the atmosphere.

There's only 2500 safe standing spaces and a lot more than that will want to be in the corner.

Leeds fans? I get your point, the corner is pretty new. There will by hundreds of new ST holders unaware.

It'll be interesting when seats tomorrow become available in 15/16, how quickly they are snapped up. I'm still undecided if to move to 13 or not.

Maybe so but there's plenty of standing tickets available now yet people are still saying they won't move. So capacity is not the issue.

Because people have lots of different reasons to not move from seats that lots of them barring they 2 spells away will have had for almost 20 years.

They should have actually done what they claimed they have done and made singers corner safe standing, but that is another debate,

I agree with the principle but it just won’t happen. There’s too many large groups in signers corner. Throw in not being able to move premier package tickets without emails and I’d imagine a lot will stay put.

Hopefully behind the goal will be people who’ve wanted to move to singers corner but couldn’t get tickets there in the past and atmosphere will be even better next season

It's true and Doug didn't explain it too well besides what I said yesterday. They clearly expect people to move but that's not the case for lots of people.

What will be interesting next season is that it will be very evident from the first game that 2500 spaces is not enough for standing.

If they tell people in 15/16 to sit down, the arguement back should be that the club haven't accommodated those who want to stand.

I find it mental that the bottom of 14 remains seating. If the South Stand standing areas sells out, there's nowhere for people to move to.

Eventually it might be an issue.

What if the South Stand standing areas sell out?

Then there would be significant evidence that more standing provision is needed, and the club should act on that.

There are 2,700 standing tickets, block 13-16 total is 3k ish, so capacity seems pretty in line with the current amount of people that stand.

Possibly because fans preference was only one of several criteria. If fans had expressed an overwhelming preference to have safe standing on the roof or in the directors box, would It have happened?

Was umming and aahing about a move from 15 to safe standing but have gone for it in 13 as its the same concourse and part of the corner. Had PL package and online wasn’t an option to renew that in 13 so went in to the ticket office where they did it for me.
