This will take months and isn't going to help relations. Will we be seeing a stand made out of a bit of scaffolding and planks of wood being erected at the BPA or have a very long walk to get to "home" games again?

where did you see this?
Judge Singh who oversaw JR2 is now on the appeal court. Was told it's highly unusual for them to allow a review of a decision made by one of their own judges - just our luck!
He's probably a proper annoying fucker.

That's the takeover dead in the water. Honestly thought they wouldn't get the right to appeal, and I don't think they did either.

The Law is just playing SISU at their own game. Allow them to appeal and spend many more £000s on legal professionals and then judge against. It's the only language Joy understands.

It will just get thrown out again, what's the next step after this one? Can they appeal the appeal for this one?

I can't see that. I can see us having to share a ground with someone in the local area who has at 10k capacity.
Not that 10k will be needed another move because of fruitless legal action will decimate the fan base.

and in the meantime we're in limbo. I honestly believe if they hadn't been granted the right to appeal that a takeover wouldn't have been too far off.

What a fucking farce!

Council united.

Council disappointed
Coventry City Council has released a statement expressing “disappointment” in the wake of today’s decision.

In a joint statement released by both the leader of the council Cllr George Duggins and Cllr Gary Ridley, leader of the Conservative group they said: “We are naturally disappointed that the Court of Appeal has granted permission to appeal the decision made on 14 July 2017.

“However, we remain confident that we have a robust defence to all the claims, and that the decisions the Council took on 7 October 2014 were entirely lawful.

“Until the next hearing, we do not intend to make any further comment on the case.”

Got to let the legal merry-go-round take its course. Haven't read what they are appealing about, just can't be bothered with it. Listening to Dr. Hook, much more interesting.

I don't even give a fuck if Sisu win or lose. Either way all of this is detrimental to CCFC. Fuck off.

Next in the never ending loop of shit that our owners take great joy in putting us through Mark Robbins declares he has sky blue blood, Mark Robbins leaves to manage a club with owners who have ambitions for their club in the league above, we get put into administration for a debt owed to another branch of SISU, we move out of town despite their being a possibility of staying if the right application is applied but screw the fans, false dawns of promotion before the negative environment created by our owners has its natural effect leading to a disfunctional team and backroom staff leading to another relegation. But don't worry Tim Fisher is a stooge and Oggy is the real mastermind of our demise.

Like a wacky 5-0 win prediction I'm going to predict that Sisu will decide against appealing. Assuming this news is just that they have been granted permission to do so. Might as well.

So am I correct in thinking that you think the judicial system had leaked the news to someone and that this decision has been "known" by people for some time before the announcement ?
