Well done BSB :claping hands::claping hands::claping hands:

It sums up the CT though doesn't it. You would have thought a regular visit to the Company House website would be essential to any journalist reporting on the clubs finances ............. in fact you can set up a monitoring function that tells you when something changes to make it even easier  ........ just plain lazy Mr Turner .

If we are going to be doing his job for him perhaps we should charge a finders fee ......... maybe donate it to a charity or let Nick have to pay for the upkeep of the forum

They say Joe Elliot is being reinstated as life president. Someone has just spoken to Joe and he knows nothing about it and first he has heard such news. Joe said he has heard Sisu are trying to blackmail the Council and have had talks with ACL behind there backs and an ACL Director has resigned because of it.
Seppala is telling the Council if they do not reduce rent or sell part of Ricoh she will liquidate the club.

Its getting worse by the day, DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING SISU SAY OR DO.

Perhaps the banks will reduce my mortgage as I think I should only be paying half the amount? I think I will call them tomorrow and tell them and see what happens, what a joke.

Liquidation? I don't think so.
Only last week sisu were stating they were looking to buy a stake in 50 per cent of the ricoh.

At the very same time they stated they couldn't afford the rent. Work that one out

It's because of you that people on here found out about it OSB-why should regular fans have to do the local media's job for it?

Told you all last week, be patient. There will be a bit of brinkmanship from our owners, we are seeing that now. Cogs are turning slowly but surely.

In Hoffman I trust.

Ccfc has always been a Trojan horse for sisu to get their hands on the Ricoh- I posted a question on this idea on the old bbc website forum about three or four years ago.

What we are seeing now, is, quite possibly, Sisu's final coercive bids to threaten and bully the people of Coventry, through fear of losing their football club, and / or league status. They have positioned Arvo to gain ownership of the name 'CCFC', should they need to liquidate us. This will then be auctioned off to a suitably high bid, that they find acceptable to offset their investments so far.

This is all conjecture on my part, as I interpret the situation as I see it now. They are hoping that someone (eg GH) will be prepared to pay x-million pounds for it, so that we can resume our existence in the league, rather than be forced to start from scratch in the same way AFC Wimbledon did. They know (I guess) that a consortium of fans would prefer to pay a certain amount for that privilege......the gamble, of course, is how much. Ultimately, they have the trump card, the club's name.....it is just a case of who has the greater nerve, the collective of coventry(council, ACL, fans,gh) or sisu.

I pretty much agree with that BSB-it looks as though ARVO's debenture is being wielded by SISU as a threat to ACL and all associated parties. We could be spectacularly wrong of course, but each day SISU's intentions look increasingly sinister.

I suspect this is why we are seeing two contrasting statements about what is going on- ie sisu say there is no credible bidder, and the cet suggests the possibility of other purchasers. It is a game of chess, or poker, whichever you prefer to call it. We can only watch from the sidelines

All the sports "journalists" and "commentators from CET and CWR should be ashamed of themselves. a local radio station and newspaper, if not impartial, should at least allow both sides of the argument! The worst culprit is the pen 15 Stuart Linell. Week in week out he slammed anyone who disagrees with him, yet makes out he is the fountain of all footballing knowledge! How can the Beeb, a taxpayer funded station hire such a self absorbed ill-informed cretin such as Linell - Hardly the voice of Cov! The CET at least are privately funded, so they have a right to employ idiots.

There actions through all this have been utterly disgraceful. If I was the new owners of the Ricoh, I would ban these shisters for life for all the cr@p they have released on behalf of SISU.

I just feel it's wrong for people who do still rely on papers like the CET for their news for the reporters not to provide their money's worth. The people of Coventry, and in particular the fans of CCFC, deserve a lot better than journalists too scared to search for and print the truth.

AGREED! The CET has performed lamentably over the tenure of Sisu.
They never interpret events with any incisiveness, worthwhile opinion or intelligence.
They are just awful and have, in no small measure, contributed to the mess the club is in due to their complete inability to get to the truth.
This goes back many years.......during the SISU years it has just established an all time low.

i would have thought that this was an ideal time for those who profess to be so knowledgeable to actually make a definitive statement,
but there is silence from those,
for the sake of CCFC & 'not yourself' spill the beans, tell the truth,
we/ve had 4 years of sisu b****hit

I presume Prince it's not part of the plan for Sisu to get part of the stadium or is it ?

OSB was right on the money with his fears about the Ricoh boss quitting. Seems to be paving the way for Sisu to be getting their hands on the Arena.

Prince was his Royal purpleness, and once partied like it was 1999.
He also attened the Brit awards with a bouncer called Big Chick, liked paisley (the pattern not the place) and changed his name to a squiggle.

Wait a minute I might have got my princes confused here!

Bit of a long shot here, but here we go......

SISU can't raise the cash to sort out our squad that they have decimated. They can't afford the rent. They certainly can't afford to buy the ground that the council will not sell to them.

Everyone following so far?

The Chinese investor wannabe's want to take us over. SISU want too much for us as we only have debts and no home. They want more for their bucks. SISU are trying to do a deal with the council that if they sell to the chinese the ground will be available for them to buy. They have the cash for this. They are not interested in us if they can't have the ground. SISU will need all this agreed before a deal will be finalised. The ground and surrounding area is where the money is. Hotels and all that sort of thing to be built. The chinese would then be happy to lose money on the football team to make it successful. A successful team would add value to any developement around the stadium as the name would be associated with winning.

This is the way other sports and investors have worked before. Chinese investors have done this before. This is where we are a good investment. They would get a team in a big city with a new stadium already built, a decent following, value to be added as we get promoted, lots of cash when we get back to the promised land and lots of surrounding land to build on right next to a main motorway in the midlands. A good spot for the whole country to access.

Or do you think skint SISU would be able to do all this?

Anyone remember this post a few days ago?

A longshot is starting to look as though it is on the button. It looks as though SISU are after the Ricoh. On one of the statements revealed in the Telegraph it is mentioned that profits are down from planned as they can't get anyone to build hotels on the site they had it planned for. So there is less of a takeup on events at the Ricoh as there are not enough beds to cope with the amount of people that would want to stay there. Any potential investors couldn't go into talks to buy the stadium as they do not have any rights to buy, so the talks would have to involve SISU. SISU don't seem to have the funds to buy the stadium or build any hotels. The council don't want to sell to SISU. Could they be drawing up a contract to sell the Ricoh as long as it is part of a takeover for our club by new investors to purchase from SISU? This could easily give SISU at least their money back.

Sisu would be happy as they would get at least their money back, most probably make a profit. The council would be happy as it would release funds and bring jobs to the area with building on the land and jobs available for hotels and also more money brought into the area through the Ricoh being utilised more. Investors would be happy as they would get a new stadium and land to build on that would also make money. They would also get a well known football team cheaply that is in the 9th biggest city and all of this right at the side of the main motorway system in the Midlands.

Win win situation for everyone. The council can't afford to build. It looks as though SISU can't afford to build, and will have planned to be out of our club by now. Investors get a stadium cheap, free sponsorship, land to build on and with a club with history where not a lot of investment could turn the clubs fortunes around. They could be looking at what teams like Southampton have done. They have reached the promised land. A successful team like Southampton would pay for the purchase of the stadium and building hotels and whatever else on the land as there is so much money to be made by reaching the Prem.

Like the optimism Astute .........

Anyone can buy the stadium freehold there is no option agreement relating to that

The option is and will always be CCFC's until it runs out not SISU's and it is for the charity 50% share.

Neither the Council or Charity can sell for less than value ..... if SISU then sold it on to clear their £40m "investment" then that implies a £40m profit. That would leave Councilors and Charity Trustees open to personal liability for the under sold amount

The football club to be honest is becoming a side issue because if it is about building hotels etc then the main money will come from events and exhibitions.

Anyone looking at acquiring CCFC has always been after the stadium. I would have thought the biggest reason reslts at ACL are down is two fold - CCFC's achievements on the pitch is one the other is that there is no rail link to the stadium which probably the single greatest factor.

Why do they need a middleman like SISU to sell and develop the stadium and rest of site. They could do two deals - some income sources to SISU and sale of freehold and development to another party

Its all conjecture though isnt it .............. bottom line is SISU need to find a return and a way out

Sisu is all smoke and mirrors. They have dug themselves into a hole and are struggling to get out even if it means filling the hole up with the bodies of the Council, the Charity, ACL, the fans, CCFC in fact anyone who they can pull in. If Mladic wasn't otherwise employed at the moment, I am sure that Sisu would welcome him as one of their "consultants".

Sisu are after the money. Follow the money and that is where Sisu will be. It was the money and only the money all the time. They don't care about anything other than the money.
If they have to shaft everyone else to get their hands on any value at the Ricoh, they will.

I agree with most of what you say OSB, but if the owners of CCFC have the rights to buy some sort of a half share until 2015 then how can it be sold before then to anyone that does not have control of CCFC? The best that the council could do would be for it all to go to someone that would invest in our club plus regenerating the area. To me if the rights are not taken up by 2015 then the freehold could be sold, but this could go against the council as the rent payable could go up even more.
