I think for most fans it the principle. There is no need for us to be playing there, just stubbornness (and an ulterior motive or two from the owners). Fans are just pawns in the game for sisu

And aren't people entitled to an opinion.

Why is it if people choose not to attend is it deemed apathy?

Yes people may lack enthusiasm with what is happening, but are they showing lack of emotion or lack of concern? I think not! Therefore it is not apathy...disgust, anger, voting with their feet! But not apathy!

Thanks RFC I will take on board your comments and I will think carefully about attending Northampton this season......

Thought about it, not a f*****g chance and I bet the attendances will even be lower this season, you enjoy.

I must admit apathy has well and truly kicked in and probably replaced by resignment. Not bothered about the fixtures, not excited by the start of the season, not bothered about the cup game, sick of losing good players, don't want to travel 30 miles to a home game and sick of the infighting between fans. The club is a ill patient stuck in a coma, they need to either wake us up or pull the friggin plug as I have lost the will to live with it all now!!!

"We've done that for years" says many.

"But haven't we always replaced them for years until recently?" is my question to those who say this.

I di go to two games away with suffolkskyblue which I enjoyed very very much, both he and his son were an absolute delight to be with, my apathy is about the club I grew up supporting, a club that was everything to me and dictated what I did most weekends and dictated how I felt the following 2/3 days after a match, I can never see me being so involved emotionally again like I was up to about 3 years ago.

I do not like our owners, I do not like how they do business, not just the footballing side, and I have a real dislike for Mr Fisher, who should never be near a football club let alone mine.

The lies/deceit and BS in the end take there toll on most of those who once loved this club.

I absolute hate to see the state this club is in, we are a complete and utter laughing stock, a once proud club is seen as a complete joke of a club by other clubs fans, even now most supporters of other clubs on the other sites I go on have been calling us Covhampton all season and ridicule what we have become ,dismissing us as no threat at all to doing well this season, again, and that is not nice to see/hear.

My poor late father would be turning in his grave to see the mess we are in .

I would though still jump at buying a season ticket if we ever went back to the Ricoh, all the love hasn't gone , yet

Cut my nose off ? I've had a week in the sun at Christmas, a week in Canada in spring and looking forward to holiday in turkey next month for the cash I've saved.I do miss going to games with my son and nephew and would buy St x 3 if we played in cov. Admirable campaigning RFC but for now I'm still out! FACT.

The continuing apathy is'nt going to solve anything but it must have a totally negative effect on other supporters and possibly the staff at the Club.

Our situation is a temporary one and we will be back in Coventry eventually.
I fail to see why supporting the the team at Northampton if you can afford it and are able to travel is such a bad thing, especially when so many are contributing to other clubs incomes by only attending away games.

Sure it's a pain and inconvenient but we have to move on and own our own stadium ( gross income FIFA - FPR ), as the rental model as proved will never ever work in modern football times.

Why cut-off your nose to spit your face, all the protesting is just a waste of time and energy and won't change anything.

RFC

If we are building a new stadium we would agree or at least publicly request a 5 year rent deal at the Ricoh.

The only reason we are not is because we want the Ricoh.

For me this still all revolves around the Ricoh and the Ricoh only. Honestly don't believe the owners will build a new ground.

Therefore can see us staying at Northampton for a lot longer than any of us envisaged if everyone stays intransigent.

This. City will be in Northampton until one side or t'other throws in the towel, or the Football League grows a pair.

What about the ones who genuinely can't make it, disabled, special needs, old, young, those who cannot afford it. A little bit of solidarity wouldn't go a miss I believe.

So we have always been a selling club?
A.Yes

We as fans could put up with that but would moan as the replacements were generally poorer.

But this situation is completely different our club has been ripped away from us, doesn't matter who's to blame the damage done will soon become irreparable.

This season I believe will be the death of or Club most die hards I know have thrown in the towel.

Feel Sad never thought I would say that.

Can't even be bothered to watch the World cup loosing the love for football full stop.

Although I will not slag you off for this stance, I really do not and cannot understand why you are happy enough to 'plod along' and follow our club in Northampton. CCFC in Northampton is wrong. Coventry City HAS to be playing in Coventry. This affects everyone associated to the club, the community and younger generations. I understand that you want to watch the team but please do not throw out a plea on here to encourage fans like me who don't go, to go. I respect your stance, you respect mine.

Solidarity that has also been taken from us.
can't see it returning any time soon.

The march organised in July will show you that people won't be bothered to turn up as they really don't care any more.

Thank you Sisu you are now fully to blame for what happens to our club.

I presume you had similar thoughts when we moved to the Ricoh? That's not easy to get to either, is it? Not in the City like HR used to be.

EDIT: As for what you believe. You described STH as "worms" while we were still at the Ricoh. Hardly showing solidarity there, were you?

Apologies, didn't make myself very clear. I was just repeating what someone - may have even been r_p - had said. He said he knew a die-hard fan who had now decided to get a ST at Leicester. Not much of a die-hard if you do that, I don't think, but there you go.
