Fine, thanks, Daz. Nice day. Wife at work, daughter has her lovely friend round, so all is good.

Been pushing for years for my daughter to get a 'really' nice best friend. Others have been moody, or a bit bully like, or selfish etc. She now has a really nice kid. Really polite and lovely and friendly and smiley. She's a pleasure to have round. Even takes the dirty plates to the sink and buys my missus some flowers from time to time.

Never complains, never falls out with anyone. Not bad at all for 13 year old.

Makes living here much more pleasant.

Going to work soon for a 12 hour shift. Can't wait.

Because when it is over I only have to work 8 shifts in the next 42 days. Will be coming to Coventry in a couple of days. Catch up with family and friends. Then on Thursday off to Zante as eldest son is getting married there. And most of us going are women and party animals  Will need a holiday afterwards.

Which are you, woman, or party animal?

Or maybe you're both.

Well I'm having a nightmare boys , got a baby due last day of November but they think he's coming now
The Mrs is not well and has been in hospital in and out for four days and I'm knackered , they have done a scan and he's three pound already so already double what I was when I was born , but they are giving the Mrs steroids to inflate his lungs more

good luck Dan and Mrs Dan. If the baby has to go into SCBU they deal with babies a lot smaller than 3lb so I'm sure it will all be OK - fingers crossed mate.

I know it isn't easy Dan but just take it easy. You need to be there to support your wife. It is harder for them as they have carried the baby for months and many blame themself when it all doesn't go to plan. It is amazing what they can do these days.

Last year I had my first two grandchildren turn up. At the same time one was in Leeds hospital having open heart surgery and the other was in intensive care for over a week as the midwifes made a big mistake. All was well in the end. But as I said your little one will be in good hands. If you need to have a moment do. But best not in front of wife.

Good luck. It will all be good in the end.

It's really good when they get a well mannered polite friend
My daughter is 13 and thankfully has always been a very well mannered and thoughtful young lady, i see some of her old friends from junior school and am amazed how much they have changed in a couple of years full of attitude and cheek
My daughter has a really good circle of friends but occasionally there is the odd drama, which I suppose is to be expected

I was going for a pint but we have relatives over from Ireland
My cousins lad is studying at cov university he was rushed into hospital last week with a twisted bowel.

He was lucky as it twisted just under his pancreas any further up and he wouldn't have made it

He was making a great recovery thankfully but the doctors decided to move him from critical care and he developed a chest infection and his wound went septic

Naturally his mum and dad and brothers and sisters (5 of them) are frantic and are here so me, my wife and daughter moved out of our house and let them move into our house

But the young lads in the clear again now so his family have decided to go back to Ireland but his mums staying so I will pick her up from walsgrave tonight

A lot of people knock the NHS but in my opinion it's a fantastic organisation , cherish it while we have it folks

Tired.

In Romania again for about the 6th time this year and back here again in two weeks.

Couple more work trips left this year, then can see me seeking a new role.....

Good luck to you and your good lady. She is in the best place and hopefully all will be well. Must be tiring and a little worrying but in a few weeks you will be on here again moaning about being knackered and the sleepless nights from baby keeping you awake.

I do believe you can, Dan.

I saw a clip last year and it was some women outside being taken from behind. As both her hands were free she had a trowel in one hand and was tarmacking a drive.
