We now have quality players for Div3. If Kilbane signs I will be putting even more money on us being in the top 6. On Betfair we are down to 2.16. Swindon are 2.22 That is 1.16/1 or just better than evens.

There probably will be more players join and more leave. But with the quality of players joining us it seems as though AT is getting the players he wants.

I can't wait for the.season to start now

Fleck is quality, Elliott is probably going to be distinctly average but hard working. I wouldn't put him in the "quality player" bracket like I would young Fleck! Hope he proves me wrong, obviously.

If Elliott can add 10-12 goals it will be a good contribution, hopefully Mcdonald bangs the goals in and Mcsheff, Baker and Fleck can all chip in as well. I don't see anyone else in the squad scoring more than 4/5

Certainly a step in the right direction. Remember that thread "last thing Coventry did that wowed you"

This is it, we'be signed an up and coming quality player with bags of potential ahead of many other high profile clubs...very pleased

We shouldn't be anything less than optimistic in div 3 or its time for the rope!

Wow,we've signed 2 players. How many have we let go? We still need about another 6 to have a bit of depth. The squad is. no better off depth wise.

Of course. But Fleck is an unlikely capture: even a SISU-hater like me acknowledges that and has to get a bit excited! I love football, after all..that's what I'd rather be talking about, not the rape of my club.

This is what I'm talking about,a couple of signings and people start chatting shit about us winning the league. I've never heard of fleck. Another 5 or 6 signings and ill be mildly optimistic.

Why can't you just let people be optimistic if they want? 10 years of crap and people are a little encouraged by a signing but apparently it's chatting shit. The champions quote is obviously tongue in cheek and the only comment I've seen like that - not exactly a common theme.

Well you've never heard of our best player, of course you aren't optimistic.

Surprised you haven't to be honest, he's not as obscure as the legendary Yaheem Sterling.

For me it is all about numbers. We need more in than going the other way. We were painfully thin last season and will need a bigger squad. No good 6 going out and only 3 coming in.

Feeling much more positive, still want to see a striker who will get us 15 goals though

If you are referring to me I was being sarcastic about winning the league with over 100 points

Most people who keep up to date with football news and gossip will know who Fleck is just because you had never heard of him doesn't mean he is bad. People didn't know who Messi and Ronaldo were at one point.

So legendary you can't spell his name, but then that might be deliberate...:claping hands:

I'm getting a strange feeling that we might actually be turning a corner!

With Fleck and Elliot signing, possibly getting Kilbane our squad is getting stronger by the minute!

If we can keep Keogh, get a few more experienced signings in I may go get my season ticket!

Onwards and upwards! PUSB

Not so much as turning a corner, as being driven round the Bend

I will be keeping expectations high from the outset. Anything less than promotion is failure. Otherwise we will see the same slow but sure decay that will have us celebrating 14 th within 5 years

I'm happier about our situation. I'm expecting Keogh to go but also hoping he thinks maybe the signing of Fleck shows the ambition to get out the league (in the right direction)!

We are placing a lot of faith in the likes of Fleck aren't we???

How? I said it shows a bit of ambition, not we're going to run away with the league. It also says expecting Keogh to go but hoping he stays!

I'd be willing to wager that the team that starts out at Yeovil will be stronger than that which faced Lesta last season.

not really optimistic yet. elliotts 11 goals in 56 for hearts and flecks 2 in 41 for rangers in a similar standard of league doesnt fill me with the most optimism. hope im wrong though, really do

I expected our signings to be Clive Platt type journeyman. Despite the goal scoring record Elliot is a higher calibre than that and Fleck has to be a prospect. Them 2 and baker, bell, McDonald, mcsheffrey are strong as is Murphy and wood. Clarke, Cameron and Hussey should be more than capable as well. It starts to look good.

We still need at least 3 more signings and don't sell anybody but I think we might only sign one more(kilbane)and lose one(keogh) a couple of early injuries and we are worse than last year personnel wise.

We are no where near a squad to challenge for promotion,. We need at least another 5-6 to make a real go of it.

Clarke and Hussey should tear it up in league 1. Christie should be just about there too! I'm really hoping the signings don't stop here. I fancy a trip to Wembley... I missed it last time!

What a strange day. No one has called for Thorn to go, Sisu have not been called Shitsu and some of the players who were deemed "rubbish" last week might "do a job for us in league 1" now.
Fisher and Waggot should space future signings out a little from now on if they want to keep the positive vibe up!
Still, tomorrow we'll probably sell Keogh and this board will return to normal!
