I know one, but he is very suspicious of people!

I got his number of someone and when I rang this Sam up he was very defensive.

'Is this Sam?'

'Errm, who is this?'

'Oh sorry, we got given you number by someone. You are Sam the plumber aren't you?'

'Who gave you my number?'

'Errm, can't remember, but you were recommended by someone.'

'Was it Dave? Roofing guy?'

'Errm, not sure. Anyway, we have a job we need doing.'

'Was it Colin, the electrician?'

'No, I don't think so. Don't know a Colin. Anyway, we have a problem with a blocked pipe. Wondering if you could come and have a look?'

'Was it Gary? Heating engineer?'

'Errm, I really can't remember. Can you do the job for us you think?'

'Was it Steve?'

'You ARE Sam the plumber aren't you?'

And so it went on .......


Anyway, he did the job in the end and he is very good, but I wonder if he is a bit dodgy with his paperwork and taxes etc.

Very suspicious of people if he doesn't know you. Also, really, really busy. One job he said I would have to wait 2 months for.

Don't blame you.

When you actually get to meet him he seems really nice, but I think it is like a Fight Club scenario and you have to be in the know to use him.
