Is there anyone old enough to remember a Saturday or was it a Sunday team called 'Sky Blue Rangers' on the park pitches in Coventry? Going back to around 1969/70. Just on the off chance someone is on here who played or supported the team back then.
I played for them (very briefly) from their outset which would have been 1976/77 season. I was pretty much out of my depth even then. There were some exceptional players - The team was managed by a fella called Roger Hardwick whose lad, Gary was also in the team. He went on to have a very long career in local (top level) Non league football with trials at a couple of professional clubs.
Dean Henry also played in that team.
