Energy?

Seen more energy in a morgue. Seen more passion in a failed relationship.

Many didn't notice because they were hearing what they wanted to hear.

2016? When those in higher education got offered everything then for it to be toned down when the cost was realised? And dropped for 2019. Then it was the turn of women that lost out on pension age rising. But getting the older vote failed.

There were attempts to cost everything. The Tory manifesto didn’t contain any. Yet when the public was polled on the ideas they had popular support and I would hazard a guess that if Boris has half a brain he will end up implementing some himself and take the credit. Because when Tories pledge to spend more they’re never asked where the money comes from.

In my student days a pint of Tennent’s was £1.30. Soft drinks were £1.50.

I kind of agree. I agree with the Tory part but not the Labour party. The costing that was done was a long way out. And this would have cost votes.

And not only was the costing out but the timescales were also undoable.

The worse part for me is how we allowed someone as bad as Boris such an easy win.

I can't find anything where it came back into ownership of CCFC.

The way I see it the manifesto is an opening bid. What you really want is somewhere short of it but you're trying to get a budge in position. For what it's worth I think Corbyn did succeed in challenging the narrative on austerity to the point that the Tories saw they couldn't continue arguing for it. For his faults I think he should get some credit on that.

But I do agree with the bit on bold. The election should never have been agreed to on these terms with Brexit dominating the agenda and a pro Brexit charlatan leading the Tories. The party's Brexit stance itself was absurd and a massive vote loser while it made Corbyn himself resort to offering all kinds of stuff to deflect from it. In the end he made himself look even more stupid than he had earlier in the year. And I have to thank Nigel Farage of all people for not making it worse.

Get a can and find out! Probably wouldn't have it now but at the bar you'd only have that or Sourz. The brewery's in Glasgow so it flowed like tap water
