We didn’t buy highfield road back, a company owned by the McGinnity family bought the land to build on and rented it back to the club when the new ground was delayed. I think we were paying the same amount A YEAR to rent it back as what they’d paid for it in the first place. A nice little earner,I agree. I didn't know we had bought back HR and can't find ant details. Have you got any details you could show me? Would give a different outlook on what happened if true.
