I could stomach the relegation if it meant a fresh start next year.

The Hoff was the name given to me as the intermediary rather than leading a consortium

Sure it's not just when people like Richard Keys or Simon Jordan want a little bit of attention and people believe it and then expand on it and tell their friends?

When was Hoffman with Fisher? Where was Haskell?

Have I missed something?

Yes.

Is all this broker/sale stuff starting because SISU finally realise they have no options left & can't take the club to Port Vale (or elsewhere) and suffer another £1M loss.

If Hoffman has been asked by Sisu to find a buyer that is massive news. It's a big if but what we do know is that things can't carry on as they are. We as a club need a new direction and no matter what Fisher says the owners can't keep watching the club fail and have to fund its running.

They have controlled and are to blame for the current situation in regards to what they have overseen. The club is a money pit and as of Saturday will become a very expensive weight and burden. They know it, and it would make sense for them to look to get out.

Let's hope for some truth in this story, we all need it. And anyone following should learn from past mistakes made by the current ownership. Build relationships, connect with local businesses and the local council, inform fans of a plan a target to aim and involve us. Promise nothing but hard work and truth about intentions short mid and long term.

Build a 1st team while carrying on the great work the academy are doing in producing young talent. Work with not fight a council that will gladly help in securing land that will become a club asset not a anchor that rent has to be paid.

This club has massive potential and it can be turned round if we get people with the knowledge to tap into the area. It's waiting for a hero and as long as the new people have a controlled plan like a Southampton, Swansea, Bournemouth or even Burton themail club can be developed and progress. Sometimes you have to let something break before you rebuild it, we maybe this case.

I know KPMG arrived in the area today for meetings but I have absolutely no idea if it is anything related to CCFC. However they were they company that the club engaged when they were conducting the last sale process, the one where we ended up with SISU, so you never know, could be something to it.

Is this another whisper of a whisper or does anyone have anything concrete to suggest sisu are looking to sell.
Has hoffman been approach to find suitable interested parties?

I think they're a corporate auditing firm. Their services could well be used in a takeover.

Yeah we could be a massive club with good owners a coherent vision and a stadium. Sadly unless Wasps fuck up or the council change their message we will never have one.

Watch out your buzz words (pardon the pun) will have set off Italia's alarm that someone has said something nasty about Wasps. He will be all over you like a rash

The law of averages says one day somebody will start one of these umpteen random rumours, and'll luck out with 'truth' of an ownership change.

5 days, 5 months, 5 years or more?

KPMG could be working with any number of companies in the area though CD. That's a proper tenuous link!

The club can't be worth much whatsoever. All comes down to how much SISU are prepared to write off of the tens of millions put in since 2007.

I think if they get 5 - 8 million they'll have done very well but I can't see anyone stumping up that much.

Shit! Had I'd known that I'd have done some rummaging. I collect the confidential waste from their offices in Birmingham.

Hence why I said I had no idea if it had anything to do with CCFC. Just know that the club used them last time round to find new owners and that they've flown some people in today for meetings locally.

Problem is as soon as a sale goes through then their loss is crystallised and for now they retain a slither of a chance of this not happening. It also depends on how the rest of their portfolio is doing as to what the point is in keeping the club on life support. Either way this is not how a hedge fund usually operates.

I wondered if this would have any bearing on how this plays out. Success in the rest of their portfolio helping them to crsytalise losses elsewhere. Can it work like that?

I think this justification is bollocks anyway. The initial cash invested would have been written off by now, anyway.

Completely agree - the "asset" or debtor that they'd have on their balance sheet would not be a true and fair value.

Basically the debt owed to SISU from CCFC would definitely need to be written off as a bad debt. Because we'll never be paying it back and no audit firm would believe otherwise to sign the accounts off.

They listen to what you say and turn this into PowerPoint slides that tell you what you said, only in a way that allows you to pass this off to your director as meaningful work and progress.

Your director will similarly employ management consultants to bundle up all his reports to his CEO, whilst your CEO will have whole swathes of consultants working on communications to the members of the board or to the government minister/permanent secretary. Much of your tax money goes on this shite - the figures are quite eye-watering.
