I was 13 in 87 and went to 90% of home games. We went on holiday around Easter and I missed a couple of home matches and didn’t get the stubs for Wembley. If only we had a points system then …
Can’t remember the exact mechanics of it. Sure there would have been a way if I was a bit older. Remember queueing up from 5am or so to buy tickets for Forest away in the League Cup semi too. That is pretty mental!
So say you went to about 15x home games on which the average attendance was about 16k, yet you still missed out when we took 50k to Wembley?
How does that work?

I went but none of my mates who I normally went up with did.I was just thinking back and the one big regret for me was not watching the Sky Blues beat Bayern Munich, when we qualified for Europe that one time.
It was 1970 and I was still a young kid.
We had beaten Trakia Plovdiv in the first round.
We had played them away in the first leg in Bulgaria and beat them 4-1 and then at home, for the second leg we beat them 2-0. I was there for that game.
The next round we were drawn against the very mighty Bayern Munich!
We played them away in the first leg and we went to Germany and got thumped 6-1 and our keeper, Eric McManus, had a complete mare and was apparently responsible for a number of their goals.
So, it came to the home leg and I just couldn't bring myself to go. I was so distraught after we had lost 6-1 against them in that first leg and I felt I just couldn't go, knowing we were already knocked out.
Anyway, they came here and we actually beat them 2-1. A fabulous achievement.
Have always kicked myself since that I didn't go. We beat one of the best teams in Europe 2-1!
Big regret for me.
I had a season ticket in the WT that year and that was the only game I missed. On a massive comedown from events the night before.Had a ticket for the Christmas 3-2 game against Man Utd in 1997 but didn’t go because I was ill
Without drugs I don’t think I could of got through the L2 campaign..I had a season ticket in the WT that year and that was the only game I missed. On a massive comedown from events the night before.

had a ST through the 90s, sat through every sickening defeat to these, surrounded by plastics in the West Stand and then at school next day, and of course this was the one I had to miss cos of visiting family.Had a ticket for the Christmas 3-2 game against Man Utd in 1997 but didn’t go because I was ill
I’ve never seen us win at wembley.
The old man couldn’t get a ticket for the cup final. We went to pretty much ever home game and the semi final. Gutted.
Had Sciatica and was forced to miss the Checkatrade final. I had a ticket but I couldn’t sit down!
I was on holiday in Croatia for the playoff final vs Exeter…“I haven’t got time to go to the fucking Game of Thrones island I’ve gotta get the boat back for the fucking game”!
I was the only person jumping around like an idiot in a small bar in a small coastal town 20 miles from Dubrovnik.
You made the correct decision, sleep easy.Probably being stubborn and refusing to go to Northampton. I thought I was doing it for the good of the club and didn't believe they'd come back again (like MK Dons) if people went. I fell out with mates over it too and in hindsight it didn't make a jot of difference. I'd still make the same choice back then but with the benefit hindsight it was me who missed out and a great season of goals too.
Going to see Kasabian the night before the last ever match at HR and subsequently oversleeping, missing my train and therefore the last ever game at HR.
Devo'ed.
Who knows what SISU would have done if the move had been a success.Probably being stubborn and refusing to go to Northampton. I have zero regrets about not going to see us play at Northampton or BirminghamYou made the correct decision, sleep easy.
