Hate the last day of the season and seeing all these teams having great success. Can't wait for the season when it's our turn!

at least we completely fell away from the play offs/ promotion. it would have been worse to miss out by GD or summit :thinking about:

Have a pint of murphy's!!

Seriously ,to see Doncaster who we tonked get through in the manner they did at the end V Brentford shows what a lottery it all can be.

DMc effectively provided 15 points for the club - city avoided relegation by 7 points!

But for DM - City would be playing in League 2

What a stupid stat. You could say that if Paddy Madden wasn't at Yeovil they would of been battling relegation!

Take away McGs goals and it's only 9 points we lose.

Take away a player and there would have been someone in their place. It's not like had we not loaned McGoldrick we'd have put 10 men out each game. Jesus.

Football doesn't work that way does it? Just because McG did that at that time, doesn't mean something else would've happened like a goal from someone else, for example, a game we won 1-0, because McG scored, we took the gas off but still won, we could've scored in the last min to win, but Baker scored. You just don't know these things because its not black and white.

^^Precisely.
Who knows, if we hadn't had McG, we might have found an even better striker and got promoted as champions.
The way some people think amazes me.

No we could have played ball or Wilson instead....

Or got someone else in, or any number of possibilities. What definitely wouldn't have happened though is a black hole in place of McGoldrick's contribution.

or we would of dropped the 9pts Mcgoldrick contributed and got relegated.

It's certainly a possibility, but to say 'without this, this would have happened' has no logic.

He would have struggled as he's missed nearly 2/3rds of the season with injury.

Apart from the months with MR in charge it has been a pile of shit ! 3rd tier football and reduced to largely relying on two men when you throw in David McG...............on saying that though, what else do you expect from a club that has been in perpetual disarray off the pitch from start to finish. Thanks for that SISU...........now go !!

You said if we didn't have Mcgoldrick. Elliott was fit when Mcgoldrick was playing so could of replaced him.
