the usual rumours that do the rounds are:

serious coke habit (used to be heroin but that's a bit early 90s)
shagging the mangers daughter
in a gay relationship with member of the coaching staff
fallen foul of some local gangsters

I heard that he was in the middle of spit roasting the manager's daughter with some local gangsters in return for drugs when the fitness coach he was in a relationship with walked in and caught him?

I thought it was just a team in China offering him silly money to go and play there?

Apparently it's about the money.
Just spoken to a sports journo friend and (as ridiculous as it may seem for someone on 100k a week) the word is he has "cash flow" problems.
Plus obviously his brother (like all agents) would get a hefty agent's fee. These big deals see agents picking up 7 figure sums.

How can you have cash flow problems on that money is it flowing to quickly maybe he should change the people around him rather than the team

That's part of the problem apparently. His brother is his agent and business manager.
