This season is going to be a non-event, we’ll pick the odd win up here and there and for me plod around anywhere between 13th and 18th - We were hoodwinked into thinking this was a side ready to challenge in the summer, for whatever reason it hasn’t materialised

Just looking forward to it being over tbh, as long as we don’t end up getting sucked into a relegation battle I’m happy to let Lampard plod along to the summer, work out who he wants to keep and experiment and let him put his own stamp on the club

Damp squib of a season and tbf with the rollercoaster of the last few years we were probably due one

Feeling the same. Have stopped taking home games into account when trying to plan weekends away with friends/family etc. as I’m really not bothered if I have to miss a few.

I’ll try and get to as many homes as I can, it’s a product I’ve already paid for it would be pointless missing it

I am reigning in the away games though, I’ll go the places I enjoy going (Sheffield, Plymouth for the weekend at Easter etc) but honestly cannot be arsed going to places like Swansea in a few weeks and B’burn on a Tuesday night etc.

Honestly think people have forgotten how bad things were not that long ago.
As disappointing as this seasons been it doesn't come close to some of the shite we've endured.

Yep, we’re basically half way up the championship, and we occasionally play quite well!

I was there when it was shit and I never want to return to those days

But it doesn’t take away from how dull this season has been, like a flat pint of Carling

Absolutely. In my 50 years of supporting this club I have witnessed some dire periods.

All relative, I know, but things ain't so bad.

I get the point though. We've definitely had worse seasons but we've rarely had such disappointing ones.

When we were relegated from L1 you knew it was a shitshow with nobody signing and the manager running away after a few games. This year we were talked about as challenging for autos and we've just not turned up.

Just watched the Mark Robins Stoke City press conference.

Fucking gutted, he should be still at our club. Couldn't give a fuck about how we start, Robins new the club. The fans, the city and was the backbone of our club.

There feels like a hole in the club is still there. There's no connection with the iPad tracksuits and let's be honest there hasn't been any improvement.

Oh come on ffs. Doesn’t matter how shit we’ve been, I look forward to watching my team on the weekend! I’ve seen us way worse than this, way way worse.

If we win, it feels fucking great. If we lose, I can come and rant on here like the rest of you. We all got ahead of ourselves before the season started - I think that’s the lesson learnt. We are Coventry City in the Championship and it will take one hell of an effort trying to get promoted.

Bang on there mate.

We need 2 or 3 additions in this squad and we go from this to being right up there in my opinion.

Disagree. We were dreadful at the start of last season and even worse at the end. Yet again started awful this season and we’d only won 4 league games by November. We’ve already won 3 in December without our best player and top scorer. It’s not pretty football and due to injuries we’ve got to grind out results hopefully bringing some prem loans in. I’m very grateful for everything MR done getting our club back but it was 100% time for a change.

Want it to be May? Definitely, as I am a charity fundraiser for RSPB and the 'feels like' temperature will be -7 when I start work today... whereas I will be on holiday in sunny Portugal in May

On a football note, I do know what you mean - we will get the odd win and draw, enough to stay up (especially when Wright / EMC are back), but there will be more 'non performances' away from home which will be hard to take. There is simply too much for FL to address to put things right in the short term.

I've just checked my seasonal outright bets placed at the back end of July...

I got us at shorter odds than Sheffield United to go up

I felt like it after about 5 games. I could tell we weren't the team we were supposed to have been.
Obviously as said above, in the context of the past its not the worst by a long shot but it's so so disappointing.

Absolutely not. By the time May comes I’ll have already turned 32 and I’m fucking livid. It’ll be warm though, even if it is pissing it down.

The occasional play well performance do seem to be getting further apart, at the beginning of the season I remember people saying after we had brought in Asante saying we would piss the league.....and then it started. Robins seemed to be rudderless without his right hand man and quickly ran out of ideas maybe energy who knows then the king of fuck all stuck his nose in and appointed a guy with not a very good track record to try and get a tune out of the overproducing pack from last season and to say we are playing shite at the minute is an understatement, time will tell if that was a good appointment and Frank is actually better than his management record up to date shows...Peoples interest is waining pretty fastly now and even though the attendances are at an all time high for the CBS the atmosphere is nowhere near where it was again with the king of fuck all meddling with singers corner possibly being one of the culprits... I still live in eternal hope on a Saturday/midweek morning only usually dashed by the lacklustre efforts of overpayed pussies seemingly playing like the first time they have met together...lets hope that a mystical new signing will soon ignite and reconnect the rapidly falling optimism that we mostly have nowadays...PUSB in anticipation !

In the context of the past it’s a Chris Coleman season but with more spent on the team and worse football.

Meddling with singers corner has bugger all to do with the atmosphere, it was fine in the second half against Luton and when we were pushing for an equaliser against Sheff U

The atmosphere is crap cause the football has been dull as dishwater at home

Atmosphere was fine against Oxford too, the football we play at the moment is so slow, its hardly going to make fans excited.

I don't remember all Coleman seasons but i do remember him having some very good players (who didn't cost that much actually, maybe we should get that recruitment team back) and surviving on the final day due to results elsewhere. Lets hope it doesn't come to that.

My worry is that the players will start to think similarly and will sleep walk into a relegation battle
