It's all gone quiet, but has anyone heard if we've just cancelled his contract, or are we still trying to renegotiate with the lad and get him back ... preferrably sooner rather than later ?

Heard from somewhere that he thought he could get shuffled into the swansea squad with the new manager, not sure how truthful that is

Reading the rules as he was with us on loan, if he returns to his home club he is eligible to play.In effect it was like recalling a player. There might be a minimum time, so he might he stuck in reserves.Of course that assumes he is good enough!

Not coming back and cant play with Swansea until next season. What a tool of the highest order, and a career that will go down the pan with an attitude like his.

Think we should just forget about him to be honest. He's back at Swansea and wouldn't have gone back if he couldn't play for them I suspect.

I'm from his local area and a friend of mine has said he told him "they tried to put me in digs, I'm not an amateur I'm a professional" take from that what you will.

I don't know it sounds about right to me, a lame excuse I'm sure but it makes sense

What did he expect a Victorian Townhouse in Leam? I was listening to the local BBC radio on the way back from MEadow Lane on Saturday and the scorer of their second goal had just joined on loan and was staying in a hotel, like all loan players do. Bad attitude, we're better off without him.

I might be wrong but I'm not sure he can, I think that only applies to 3 month emergancy loans. Just checked the football league website. The Donnelly and Delfonseo loans are standard loans - I.e half a season.

53.2.2 Subject to the proviso that the duration of a Standard Loan must be the time between two Transfer Windows, Standard Loans can be for half a Season or a full Season. Any recall clause requiring the early termination of a Standard Loan can only be included in a full Season Standard Loan and this can only be activated during the second (January) Transfer Window.Any other early termination of a Standard Loan must be by way of a mutual agreement in writing (including by way of a recall clause within the Standard Loan Agreement) between both Clubs and the Player but can only be completed after the expiry of 28 days and only during a Transfer Window (but subject to Regulation 53.2.3 below).

I have read quite a bit about him and he seems to think he is better than he actually is. The main point being that he refused to play for Northern Ireland U21's shortly after signing for Swansea...something a player should never do in my opinion...and after he returned to Swansea after "not wanting to be at Coventry" has now scored 10+ goals for Gillingham feels he can preach to the players in the Irish leagues on what they should do to make it....shows incredible signs of someone getting ahead of themselves with the wrong attitude and trying to explain how it is done when things are going ok for them for a change

"The goal against Linfield was pretty special and afforded me a lot of recognition but I think my best goal so far came against Fleetwood this season. If you haven't seen it, get on YouTube and take a look. Hopefully my best goals are still to come."

Says it all telling people to get on youtube and take a look
