What's wrong with this pic???? If someone asks him the score, what's he to do?
If the fans chant give us a wave and he responds is that embarrassing too?

You've asked a good question here. Why wouldn't you keep anyone else?

There isn't another transfer window before his contract ends so unless you think hes getting a new contract for next season someone else is going to be dealing with recruitment. Would it not be better tot get them in sooner rather than later so they can see what they have to work with?

I still think he's the right man to rebuild the team in the summer.
It's been disappointing appointment so far in terms of turning things around but we knew we were in trouble in December.
Players ain't up to it and it's showing

So waving back to the crowd is too? Nothing in that pic in all honestly... more a hate campaign.
If we're we're mid table and zero frailties in our ability to see a game out most would say he was interacting with the fans. Surely you must agree.

Without takign sides in the "Is TM to blame" debate, this thread is about whether Slade should stay on. It's got naff all to do with Mowbray, ho left nearly 6 months ago; the extent to which TM bears responsibility for our current state has no bearing on whether Slade should stay or not. Give it a bloody rest!

Like I've already said, we can start the rebuilding process now, not in May where a new manager can't take a look at our players in competitive football. We have nothing to lose now, Slade just isn't the right man to revive this club, it's not rocket science.

Actually I've only missed AFC Wimbledon and Oldham this year.....
you will need that style of football next year 100%. Anyone who thinks otherwise is gonna be in for a real shock.
Watch all of last nights league two goals and see how they were scored.... all we're 25 yarders, long balls and set pieces from corners and free kicks.

I did... caught up in the optimism that he could transform this team.
Says something about the players tho if a man with his years of experience and cv cannot do it.
Just as gutted as the next man the way this seasons going.
But I still feel a team of Slade players can do it in league two now mostly likely

That pic is an absolute joke considering the current state; rock bottom, he's still not actually won a league game and we've a habit of giving away late goals. Ridiculous to even entertain doing it as things stand.

Very strange to read all these views on what the club should do when we go down to div2. Accepting that City are pants in most departments on the field. Same arguments when we dropped out of Premiership and Championship. The only way this rot will end is when Sisu leave. As we have repeatedly witnessed season by season managers are failing. I only blame Sisu. All these manager has some constraints in place with Sisu. Can't be all their fault, so the process will be repeated in div2 until we drop out of the league. It's inevitable. My way of protesting now is to not go to Wembley and watch a relegated team get pizzed on, in a shit and pointless cup. Massive payday for Sisu. It doesn't matter who manager is, the poison is deep in the club.

Currently no, but if you take last night it nearly brought to a halt a long run of zero wins and a away win what we've not had since October with a clean sheet too on a vary difficult non league pitch what realistically you cannot play great football on.
With the right players next season it will work I honestly believe.
Like I said in a post look at the goals score last night in league 2 and the state of d the pitches

There's normally a fine line between success and failure...
In our case it's a chasm

The mentality of the club is so wrong right from the top down to the grass roots and it's now so ingrained I can't see it changing for a long time

the whole "start the rebuild" doesnt make any sense to me whilst SISU are still about. whats the point in building a team for league 2 when its quite likely that all the "good" players will be sold, the loanees go back, and we are left scratching our arses at the start of a new season?

You've answered your own question. If we were midtable I could understand why he might do it (in my opinion it's still a shitty thing to do) but I could at least understand it. To be seen to be gloating, no matter how trivial it is with 'banter' with the fans when you are yet to win a game in your first 10 games is just an absolute embarrassment. You earn a reputation. His reputation here is the worst I've ever known in a manager. Why is entertaining the fans? He should be biting his nails off with anxiety and demanding as much as possible from his players in the remaining minutes. He can say his players switched off as much as he liked, none of them switched off as much as he did.

Correct, which is why we're in free fall.
At some point tho the trend of sacking managers who cannot break the monkey of the previous regime and that manager the one before that and..... it don't work. At some point you have to stick.
My stance is here we have a guy with vast experience that is using 60% players of a old regime, give him the summer to build and stick.
Or we let him go, welcome the new man who will ultimately fail we sack him, and it goes on and we fall more

Also 'a man of his CV'. It's hardly glowing. Some minor success with non-league/league 2 teams. His appointment at this level and above have mainly ended in complete failure.

Yes but the real problem is above the manager and until that changes the cycle will continue
9 years in charge and they've totally destroyed the club
