He's the academy boss. Seems like he just gets on with his job without the politics etc.
Good for him. Tell me, did he have a choice to go elsewhere?Well grandson has signed for another year that's all I'm really interested in to be honest
Whilst it's not his fault, I'll still believe anything when I see it, when it comes to our club! He's the academy boss. Seems like he just gets on with his job without the politics etc.
Same here, and I would be surprised if he's kept in the (actual) loop.Whilst it's not his fault, I'll still believe anything when I see it, when it comes to our club!
wouldn't the audit have been based purely on the playing at higgs? i hope we retain cat 2 hope the club invest instead doing a brentford.

I am certain he could. Time will tell if he does.Good for him. Tell me, did he have a choice to go elsewhere?
Personally I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. Friend of mine had 2 sons in there and pulled them out.

Yep, anyone know knows about local academy football will tell you the same. I also have a lot to do with Leamington/Southam/Kenilworth/Stratford Town/ etc and I along with a lot of others would choose one of these ahead of Ccfcs. When I am turning up to games and there are now corner flags it tells its own sorry story. We are not talking about Sunday football here but academy football where things should be done properly.Any reason? Academy football isn't for everyone. Kids may not like the coaches, the atmosphere or the training/games regime. It's normal, we've lost young lads this way and also gained young lads from this way.

Sunday football? Think you misunderstood. The point was that if at academy level if there are no corner flags (ref ccfc academy on occasions) that to me is poor. Sunday league clubs who leave the flags in the changing room can be excused as they are not a cat2 acedemy setup/side.What, like winning leagues and producing first team footballers?

Andre Grey-Hinckley Utd. Ben Foster Warwick/Central Ajax.Alright, that's your choice and there's.
Can't think of a single player any of them clubs have produced who have gone on to play at league level so not sure it would be better for a good young player to join Stratford instead of CCFC. Infact most of them take the professionals who don't make it here like Courtney Baker-Richardson, Ryan Quinn and Eli Bako.
Not at all-just giving an example of things that run all the way down through the club-starting at the very top. Rotten to the core which unfortunately filters down. You would advise people to go to Leamington over CCFC because of corner flags?

Isn't that 2 more than the Ccfc academy who have gone on to play regularly at the top level?
You are kind!
Good post, I think the thing that disappoints most is the amount of money that has been invested over the years and the minimal returns. Different era I know but in the 80's we all know the Danny Thomas' etc that all came through and had successful years in the top flight here or elsewhere after coming through our academy full term from early ages. Struggling to think of more than 2 (Kirkland-Wilson) who have gone on and played regularly in the top flight in the last 10-15 years. All about opinions anyway. I think we've gathered for one reason or another you don't like the Academy set up which is fine. I understand both points of view as a fan myself.
I think CCFC fans in the main support the Academy. The youth thread on here has over 90,000 views when I last checked so clearly there's a lot of interest in it and what's going on from posters and outsiders.
Anyway, this thread is about the future of our Academy rather than who's set up is better than who's.
