Every moment it is on air is a travesty. I don't particularly like BBC btw, 4 News is the best by far and Sky is probably better now.

On any objective measure they’re in completely different categories. BBC/Guardian/Telegraph/Times are one level of reporting. Sun/Mail/Express/Morning Star/Independent/New Statesman/Spectator another. The Daily Sport/Weekly World News/GB News are more entertainment than news.

I don’t like Gary Lineker and his pious views. Don’t like that folks are forced to pay a licence fee (or else) for his huge salary. As soon as he used his BBC swollen platform to spout political views he crossed a line for me. If you think the BBC isn’t politically slanted and practices “level reporting” there’s a bridge for sale in fairyland. BBC News? Bah. The BBC does do good dramas and sport & coronation coverage though.

I was responding to discussions about bias. Morally Im saying there’s a reason a small new organisation with a spotty record that is actively under the eye of the public has a different visceral reaction from a massive organisation spread across the world that had something happen decades ago.

This kind of weird BBC hatred is almost exclusively the preserve of the fringes that want their views heard more than they are represented in the population.
