I'm half tempted to buy a white sofa from a charity shop and put it in the roundabout by the Wallace next week to see if anyone will sit there

Always thought this pair were idiots. Still do. I've never known which one is which anyway. But then again, who does know, and who gives a shit?

That's whooshed straight over my head, Daz.

Why the sofa?

You have to bear in mind I have, never ever watched any Ant and Dec in anything they have ever done, other than the Likely Lads episode they tried to regurgitate.

Treat me as a complete Ant and Dec novice.

Ant is the one the stares at the camera. Dec is the one that seems a pleasant and harmless nonentity.

Surely plenty of reality TV nobodies to exact your anger on ahead of these two. Harmless guys, hardly Morecombe and wise, but still genuine and decent. In fact a few of the nomark wannabees could learn a little from them.

They are brilliant at what they do. Entertaining the moronic masses. Fair play to exploiting that

They put 4 white sofas in random parts of the country then whoever gets there before 8pm has a chance of wining tickets to go on a cruise

Right, got it.

Have honestly never seen any shows of theirs at all, but have seen them interviewed and on the odd chat show and they always come across as nice lads.

And anyway, they must be good at what they do because they win so many awards.

I hate Saturday night TV with a passion and feel it plays to the lowest common denominator, so get exactly what you are saying NW.

Have never watched any Ant and Dec and to be honest, I really cannot remember the last time I watched any Saturday night TV on ITV. My guess would be 25 years.

Pretty much avoid BBC 1 too. I really hate the sort of shows Ant and Dec and Bruce Forsyth and such like do.

So lucky these days with all the channels available and with the likes of Netflix, Amazon Prime, Now TV and catch up, that it is so easy to just pretend these sorts of programmes don't exist.

The likes of Saturday Night Takeaway and Take me Out and Wipeout and Strictly and The Voice and X Factor and I'm a Celebrity etc. send a shudder down my spine.

If I watched any of them I think I'd need a cold shower after!

Yep. Can fully accept they come across as natural with good timing but... it's not my kind of thing!

The same as you can have good gangster rappers and bad gangster rappers, but I won't be going to see them no matter how good they are!

They earn over £4 million each a year just from their two main shows on ITV - which are two of the biggest shows for advertising revenue.

Remind me who is the moron?

Frankly it does smack of jealousy.

These sort of shows are pretty harmless and will engage family Saturday night audiences.

It's a wierd combination of Noels House Party, a bit of Two Ronnies, the generation game and The Price is Right.

It takes a lot of ability to present live to an audience and the viewing public. They make it look easy which is the point.

Viewing figures and advertising revenues in the end don't lie.

Working class lads come good. Always seem polite, appreciative and respectful too. Surprised they've never ventured overseas.

I've heard that they are not polite the slightest. Heard a story about someone asking for an autograph and they told him to fuck off.

There's probably not a celebrity in the world who hasn't had that said about them by someone that somebody knows who knows somebody. Doesn't necessarily make it true. And even if they did under certain circumstances people deserve being told to fuck off.

Fair play to them, they are harmless and far better than all the want to be types who all come from Essex ( is there anyone left in Essex not on TV ? )

They must be good at what they do and I can appreciate how difficult it must be to make a live show run smoothly but it just isn't my cup of tea. Never watch this type of show and when the kids do I always find something else to do

That Shaun Williamson is a pain in the arse though isn't he and he does at times get very desperate.

Well, that's the question, who is the most entertaining comedy duo, Ant and Dec or Grendel and Tony?

This person have any reason whatsoever to lie and I genuinely believe all they did was ask for an autograph- hardly a reason to tell someone to fuck off.

I don't get it when people are so eager to point out they would never watch crap line big brother or ant and Dec..

It's like x factor, some people will be so keen to tell people they would never watch it.
