Why a rental deal?
Sorry, but we need to own the revenue from the stadium.
I agree with this idea but getting them all to work together would be just as difficult as getting Joy and Ann to have a lesbian affair.

Apart from some clarification of the 'revenue streams' and what that means for the club, I think that's a perfectly plausible and sensible idea.
What amazes me is that you still think the major players in all this would be prepared to give the club a short-term deal.
I still beleive that there may be a very slim chance of still returning to the Ricoh, maybe 1%!
The biggest draw back with a new ground is the time scale (ie. 3 to 5 years) but it may be the better for the long term future of our club, who knows but the Ricoh has never ever felt like home, unlike Highfield Road.

People need to accept the obvious here.
Sisu will not deal with ACL or the council
ACL and the council will not deal with sisu
Sisu has lost the confidence of the public. It will take a big leap of faith to recover that.
ACL and the council have demonstrated they lack vision and belief of other councils' who have owned stadiums.
Higgs should never have been involved in the first place. They need to accept this and move forward.
The only way forward is for someone somehow to get a deal to all parties. Somehow establish what they all want to extract themselves and move on.
Its a forlorn hope.

I think it's fair to say that with the exception of RFC we would all like to see our club return to the Ricoh if only on a temporary basis while sisu do whatever it is they're doing.
So here's my idea.
All the supporter's and protest groups come together and release a joint statement, stating that we the fans want our club home and we Iinvite ACL to propose a fresh rental offer to include match day revenues through the FL, we invite SISU to also make a rental offer to include match day revenue through the FL and that we invite the FL assist in encouraging both parties to do this and then mediate.
I think the biggest problem is we have that many factions there has never been a coherent message. If all the groups come together for one statement on the one point everyone seems to agree on then that would overcome that hurdle.
Michael has 18000+ names on an epetition, the trust has thousands of members, Rob S is running a high profile election campaign and there is no denying that Rob is clearly connected in the media world and then there are all the other supporter groups.
I really believe that a joint statement will send a clear message that we want our club in its rightful place and their is no denying that playing in Northampton is decimating not only our finances but also our fan base. So we accept that the club can and should return to the Ricoh for the start of next season if only on a short term deal and this statement wouldn't be about what ACL or SISU want or what the FL won't do, it would be about what we want and what we expect all parties to do.
So please Rob, Michael, Jan, Steve and anyone else who fronts a fans and/or protest group please come together and do this for the fans you represent.
We do communicate, we all have our own views and listen to those of others.
All these people are members of the Sky Blue a Trust.
The problem we all have is that talking to the decision maker has never been available to any of us. We all agree that the place to be is the Ricoh, personally I think we will be back one day but until JR I cannot see anything moving in any sort of positive way.
It all makes me hark back to the Hoffman/Elliot approach that never was.
If they were so enamoured with getting hold of the club and being in the Ricoh so much perhaps after the JR we will see them return to the fore?
After all what is a club in the 3rd tier struggling and no stadium prepared to take for the club and golden share?
It's always been clear Hoffman and Elliott would find a more accommodating ACL/Council right?
Surely 30m and SISU would think it was Xmas? But Hoffman has a stadium with revenue streams agreed and low,low rent lease and a club all for a mere 30m and stacks of potential? Hmm

I'm happy to host a "how to use a telephone" 101 training session prior to everyone starting this massive fuck-up in waiting.....
Personally I'd back a low rent (just costs) and 100% access to matchday revenue in the bowl, plus first refusal on renting the Ricoh at cost for other events the club may want to put on.
I think you need to recognise that ACL can't really be out of pocket and CCFC need to increase revenue through more than just matchdays.
No Maybes about it. I wish it were not the case with every fibre of my being but tragically this solution won't work whilst the rivalries between representatives - elected or self appointed - remain as bitter, rancorous and entrenched as we all know them to be - in some cases for quite disappointingly non footballing reasons. Quite mischievous to suggest really. Why don't we all just get behind someone clearly impartial that loves the club and is whiter than white and bleeds sky blue - like Mr Joe Elliott?I think it's fair to say that with the exception of RFC we would all like to see our club return to the Ricoh if only on a temporary basis while sisu do whatever it is they're doing.
