Mowbray said they are bringing in a player on loan but he will only play in U21s, basically a trial but he must be under contract at another club still.
It's Alex Gilliead from Newcastle, we had him with us for 2 weeks but weren't allowed to play him in any U21 game apparently.
Tony Mowbray: “Alex has gone back for now. “He was with us for a week or two but wasn’t allowed to play any games because it was in a hectic period of Saturday/Tuesday, Saturday/Tuesday and a lot of the training was game preparation so I didn’t see him play in a game. “So he went off with the (England) Under-20s and I said I’d watch him play for them and in some Under-21 games back at Newcastle. “I’ll keep an eye on him really. He’s a very, very fast wide player and Adam (Armstrong) obviously knows him very well because they’ve played in the same team together for a while with Newcastle Under-21s.”
Mowbray has revealed that the player coming in on Monday is coming in on a month's loan but not going to play. It's just a way of City getting a look at him.
Just to point that Mowbray confirmed that Newcastle United youngster Alex Gilliead who had been training with the club isn't the player arriving on Monday.
These "who is it" mysteries seem to be a weekly occurrence nowadays we don't really have a clue who but let's guess what position, I'm going for defender probably a centre half
