Nah, by the time the deal goes through (if it does) he'll have 1 day max to train with his new team mates. It's the same reason I'm fussed we haven't signed anyone yet as they'll be useless for Saturday.

I'm remember when Micky Quinn turned up on loan from Newcastle on a friday afternoon (fresh from a pub lunch, I should think)

He ended up bagging a brace the next day if memery serves me.. those were days [

Top bloke Micky Quinn. I remember when he ran on the pitch for us for the 1st time. Didn't look an athlete at all. Short and round. A short burst of speed was the most running you would ever see from him. Fastest player over 1 yard I ever saw though and knew where the net was. Became the fans favoutite very quickly.

He looked quick but didn't see much of the ball-and missed a good chance. Well shackled by Cranie and Keogh otherwise. He did look good in every other game I saw him play, though!

Day before...

I remember going to QPR just because he signed and I was so excited...

Seiing that overhead kick go in on debut just was the begining of the reason why he is one of my favourite players ever in a cov shirt !

Against Man City who were wearing awful purple away shirts. We went 2-0 up, but we still contrived to lose the game. 

It was not an overhead kick.

As for Long, he has upped the ante by saying if a big club came in for him he would consider it (talking about the West Ham bid of 6 million) Reading apparently want 8 million though....
