Good news for anyone down my neck of the woods. We're playing Pompey, although its taking place at Havant & Waterlooville as Pompey are having a new pitch laid.

Pompey have added a friendly against Coventry to their pre-season schedule.

Paul Cook’s side will face the League One side at Havant & Waterlooville on Tuesday, July 21 (7.30pm).

Tickets are priced £10 for adults and £5 for seniors (61+) and juniors (under 17).

They will only be available to buy at the Westleigh Park turnstiles on the evening of the game.

We'll have to score at least three as the dream team of Doyle and Barton are bound to score.

Senior ticket is cheap enough for me, but living here on the island, I'd have to get the ferry across - £12.10 return. Then I'd have to find transport to Havant & Waterlooville........... Still, it would mean getting to see them play! Worth thinking about. :thinking about:

If ever you wanted to pick up an unnecessary injury - Doyle and Barton (who can't tackle properly but will be guaranteed to make one desperate lunge just to try and prove the doubters wrong). Please do not play Maddison in this game

It's okay to retire to, but if you're still of working age and expecting to find a job, forget it. I can give you loads of info about the lifestyle here - just pm me and I'll give you all the details you want.

My broadband is brilliant. I use a local company - Wightfibre - really good price and free calls on landline phone. Not sure what you mean by working remotely?

Nice one, cheers ChiefDave. I live about 5 minutes drive from H+W ground and have that day off. Defo going.

Just text a couple of Pompey mates as well. Already looking forward to it!

I wonder if the West End Boys are going down to Poetsmouth to give it attitude. I've been to Portsmouth once in my life and giving it attitude proved very unwise.

That job's already gone. It was taken by an old man out walking his dog on Tennyson Downs.
