That's a bold claim. Care to explain?

They don't, but that's not the issue here and you know that. The issue is getting City back at the Ricoh regardless of whether SISU are in charge or not.

Grendel- I'd genuinely like to know from your perspective- do you think SISU are justified in taking CCFC to Northampton- hand on heart do you genuinely believe that there was not another more sensible option for them to explore-before they threw the proverbial teddy.
Park all the legal protocol, the administrator- strip it all back to; was there no other option for SISU? Can you not see that they are using CCFC as the leverage for stadium ownership?

But Shitzu have already told us that they would only come back as owners. Does that not bother you?

Let's have a poll then that reflects the current situation:

1. Stay in Northampton with SISU
2. Come back to the Ricoh with SISU

Why would it bother you that the club would own the ground?

or are you suggesting the current owners of the ground are too stupid to negotiate a deal where the club own the ground?

Not really, no. I'd rather be in Coventry at the Ricoh than in Northampton. I'm sure ACL are intelligent enough to put caveats in any sale.

ACL only have a lease. It is the freehold which Shitzu are after and that is owned by CCC

Of course. CCC have to sanction any deal. And they should sanction one and get the club back in the City.

All the the Tony's, James, letsalltalkbollocks, bigfatron, garypendry, not very astute would rather we stay in Northampton. Pendry lives in Spain so won't go anyway and James never leaves his £1 million house unless the legends play so I guess they have an excuse - they never go anyway.

But there lies the problem. A freehold purchase would give Shitzu no income streams, only that coupled with a leasehold purchase. Do you think that they have the funds for such an undertaking?

With respect Mr Calvert nee Fisher, the reason the Championship was dire was due to the poor management of the club, there were many opportunities for this to be a realistic campaign, but as joy has stated she took her eyes of the ball for 4.5 years (feeble excuse really). There should be no blame on ACL as they were just your the landlords. It was not the Council, AEHC or ACL who screwed our club over, it was the pitiful management tactics of Mr Fisher, which back fired. The Council do not influence ACL they have two shareholder representatives on the ACL Board as does AEHC, the only influence CCC has is there ability to extend the lease or sell the freehold, the latter will never happen. There is a deal to be done, but not a freehold sale or full ownership, so if SISU want to play in Cov then negotiate a rent with revenue deal. As for Tuesday, its a choice that people make, however its worth noting its been instigated by Labovitch, the questions are all pre-loaded so all Cov fans be aware.

To be honest, if that is the case, I hope the club build their own stadium.

Since relegation from the Premiership supporting the club has been fairly miserable. The whole championship experience was dire. Last season, from a home game perspective was dire.

Now, however, we have a real team. The best youth development since Dave Sexton and yet......

People gloat over a poll that for 70% of fans returning to Coventry is not the number one priority.

People declare they want ACL and the council to have a fair deal.

People are not angry ACL and the council are denying the club a play off place. There is almost rejoicing we are 10 points worse off and disappointment we are not relegation fodder.

Surely only one thing matters. Watching what seems a geniunely exciting team playing in Coventry. Whatever people want - wanting the team in Coventry is all that matters - surely.

Then why don't SISU make an offer to buy FFS?

Yes I think it does matter- I agree Coventry in Coventry- but the backdrop to the question has to be equally balanced does it not?

Before I started my current job I attended as many matches as possible both away as well as home. I made the trip up by train each weekend and it was all I did on a Saturday travel to Coventry or the location of whoever we were playing that week. In the days when we were at Highfield Road I'd often walk there to save money and when we moved I either used a taxi or bus depending on how long it was before kick off.

I knew when I took this job on that it would mean sacrificing being able to make most matches but for personal as well as financial reasons it was the right thing to do. I don't sit at home on matchdays whether we're playing in Coventry, Sixfields or at an away ground, I'm normally at work. I take my lunch hour during the match so that I can listen to the radio whilst eating and have the BBC live text/the match thread to follow the action. Yes I went to the legends match because it was supporting two charities, and I could watch some great stars of our past playing some attractive football in Coventry, without financially supporting the SISU move to Sixfields. I wasn't the only one and apart from the groundsman who must have 'loved' the pitch invasion at the end, I would have thought that everyone had a good time.

So Grendel & co your proposal of CCC gifting the Ricoh stadium to Sisu seems a bit unfair to ccfc in my book !!!
please explain why ccfc should pay rent to Sisu for playing in a stadium that didn't cost them anything ???????

Sisu own the club. Sisu are a mercenary hedge fund so I'd expect them to charge rent. Ten times the league average like the caring sharing council? Who knows.

Pointless discussion though - the thread is a simple judgement. Do you want the club back in Coventry whatever the consequence for all other parties? I do.

So the council and ACL denied Coventry a play off place?

I presume they sold or allowed the clubs best players to leave whilst in a relegation battle.

I presume they refused to pay a legally binding debt.

I presume they Moved us to Northampton after convincing the FL that if they didn't the club would no longer exist.

All of the above stopped us watching Cov for the first time minus a few months in a decade playing good football.

After all of the above they cost us 10 points.

Is that what you are saying?

There are times in life when you just have to accept most people don't agree with you and Les

Should the council sell the Ricoh Arena to Sisu so Sky Blues can play in Coventry?
YES
33%
NO
67%

Unless you have a crystal ball, you don't actually know, do you?

Hey, I think they're greedy scumbags as well, and I certainly know how hedge funds operate, but nobody can say what they will do because there's no evidence, is there? They are unwilling to share such information, if they even have it themselves, with us plebs.
