I played against John matthews. I think he played for stoke heath rangers. Good player at kid’s level

We should definitely do it, and produce a bit of merch to go along with it. Maybe put on a coach from the CBS.

Give some journos a word and we’d get some nice puff pieces written too.

Can definitely see it happening.

I played briefly for Stoke Heath Rangers (around 1976/77) I wasn't very good tho.

I was there too.

I've got a memory of their keeper coming out and having a massive flap at a cross, missing it by miles, and a defender stood right behind him, clearing it off the line.

I remember thinking that the only reason the defender was there, was because he knew how dodgy his goalie was!

And that reminds me of a Goalkeeper called Brian Joyce.

Don't mention Bayern Munich

Brian Joicey was a striker.
Didn't Eric McManus deputise for Bill Glazier in the disastrous 1st leg tie?

Might as well have been Mick McManus. That's one for those who remember the wrestling on a Saturday afternoon on ITV.

Also, Tim Dalton couldn't have known on that bleak night in Brechin that he'd soon achieve global fame in the Bond movies.
