serie b vs 2nd tier of english football, dunno whether it was div1 or div2 or championship at the time! i remember championship manager italia! ndlovu was brilliant

Ahh so long ago, I thought it was lower down but forgot back then notts county and stockport would be in the championship!

Thought it was div 3 or even 4. Remember watching blackpool v roma in the 70's

I vaguely remember is being Championship (Div 2) teams, but it must have at one time been lower down or something because It's the biggest trophy Sutton Utd have ever won and they've never escaped non-league football.

That was when the cup was only classed as semi-professional.

I think in the early nineties it was started again for 3 or 4 seasons, the Anglo Italian cup was just for seria b and the division one.
