Apparently MR's preferred striker signing (CET). Don't know a lot about him, but hope it's not at the expense of Moorhouse (but as well as)

He scored against us at the Ricoh the other year. Would be a good signing at this level, but all these signings are just to good to be true.

Bit of a pointless article by the telegraph as it says in it he won't be coming

I am always skeptical when I see the words "the Telegraph understands" that being said if/had Williams of been on CCFC's radar it would've been a very good signing.

From what I have read however, Williams wasn't wanted at Donny in May and has since gone back to Donny this pre-season with a point prove and has been given a second chance, so any potential deal I would imagine is as good as dead in the water.

A totally pointless and irrelevant "exclusive" from Coventry's local rag.

To be fair though this could change at any time if Doncaster bring in a striker. Or maybe he wants to leave.

Darren Fergusson seems to keep him and is an admirer of his goal record, so I would assume not.

If DF was intent on shipping him out he would have done so when an apparent offer was on the table, to me it looks like Williams was given a warning/ultimatum by DF and has come back intent on making the most of his second chance.

Shame. Would have been the missing piece to the jigsaw for me.

Assuming that the article is correct?

I hope the telegraph's source, is not the same source that told them that Carl Baker was coming back..

I'd say a decent rather than spectacular signing. Can't help but feel that Robins has a shock up his sleeve somewhere.

The shock will be when half the squad is sold for peanuts on transfer deadline day. SHFWF!

It would be spectacular. Scored 20 goals in the league above!

453 Games 107 goals over his career is in no way spectacular. 19 in 78 in league 2. Do we need another 1 in 4 man??

He could score 20 goals though. Seemed to do a pretty decent job against us at the Ricoh.

Not sure about this one but we did have Andy Williams play a few games in the mid 80's. Don't remember him singing much.

Incredibly, he's 24 years old in this photo. Looks about 44.

Another 'The telegraph understands...' article. Since the retained list fiasco what the telegraph understands don't mean Jack.
