Forget the trials and tribulations we go through as Coventry fans, let's have a bit of nostalgia.

Remember when Andy Whing pulled a hamstring eating lasagne?

Not as good as the ultimate crap sporting injury - England and Essex seamer Derek Pringle who put out his back whilst writing a letter.

Kept going backwards once he left too.

Bit like Barry Quinn really. Thought both of them were alright for us, their later careers suggest I'm a crap judge of a player.

Quinn did a reasonable job considering he rarely got played in his natural position of central midfield.
I remember Alan Hansen picking him out on MOTD as one to watch after his debut at Highbury!

Didn't we have some kind of 'save Barry Quinn' campaign too, when a load of players were released (under McAllister?)

Oh for the happy days of campaigning to keep a journeyman under contract!

No some players don't do their potential justice.

Kevin Gallacher (who had an almost God-like stature at city in my view ) only spoiled his copy book once. Missed the first four games of the season after pulling a calf muscle trying to keep his flip-flops on while on holiday.

Who was the player who slipped in the shower and landed on his bollocks? Consequently he missed about 2 months of football, I think...
