For those who didn’t know, Jason Farndon is now the 23s coach. Andy Crabtree replaced him and now Andy Whing has joined taking over Crabtree’s role as assistant

Whing left U23 job at Kidderminster to join

Ah that goal at Highfield road and that celebration! Doesn't look like he can move that fast now!

There will be an experienced U23’s coach in at some point as well I’d imagine as it’s an important role but somebody who has experience in the pro game. Your having to deal with experienced pros at that level and it’s vital that the person coaching u23’s has been there done it. It’s a shame but that’s how it goes.

He’s the permanent U23 coach, not just filling in. My guess is that Robins rates the young players currently at the club who have been coached by him and decided to promote him

That's two of the Marx brothers you've used as an avatar. When are you going to use the best one - Karl? :emoji_stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

There’s seems to have been a slow turnaround in the coaching staff at the Acadamy with a number of seemingly experienced additions I know of, that has to be a good thing as it indicates a future for it, something yet to be 100% confirmed

Has it been said there is no future for the academy? Richard Stevens has always seemed to just get on with it.

Until it’s confirmed it’s unconfirmed but I’m hopeful it will be confirmed. Same as the ground really
