That's what the spectators shouted at Henman's boyfriend at the International Wank Festival of 2005 isn't it.

I love watching him play, not only is he a good player he's great to watch compared with a lot of robotic sports men these days. Everyone knows ppl who when they play sport love a moan up, and if you don't it's you!

Think it started when England were playing Paraguay in the World Cup and he supposedly wore a Paraguay shirt and said that he would support anyone but England.

That lit the blue touch paper just a tad.

He has since denied he ever wore the shirt, but has admitted he did say the remark about supporting anyone else.

I read that he said it in a joint interview with Henman as a joke.

Ahh, the old 'joke' thing.

Like, 'I'm not a racist I have a friend called Leroy?'

What is wrong with him doing that?

Sounds like it is just some Little Englanders with a problem about him.

Not being a squealing 50 year old woman on HRT I don t have a massive interest in Wimbledon. I will say on this argument though I don t see a problem if some people choose to dislike him. It's like the random dislike of Leicester

I watch tennis a lot and he does seem to be a bit of a moody bastard. You look at Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Tsonga and they all seem to be top blokes. Murray just comes across as a bit of a dick. When he plays as well, he has this really childish habit of huffing and puffing and swearing at himself.

I think people get annoyed cos we are all supposed to love him just because he happened to be born on the same island as us, for me it doesn't work that way. You are very much representing yourself, not a nation.

Agree.

I don't like the bloke. Nothing to do with him being Scottish. Don't see why we have to back him just cos he's British.

I find it cringeworthy that so many suddenly decide to take an interest in tennis for 2 weeks a year, and are surprised that aside from one player, we haven't heard of the rest. It's hardly a surprise that British tennis is so terrible when the public interest is so minimal.

I hope he wins. I wouldn't call him particularly dour or miserable, it seems that he's very good at a sport without being particularly comfortable with the attention that comes with.

The anti-England stuff that wasn't misreported was at most the kind of light-hearted jab that anyone who's ever supported a team would be familiar with and take part in, getting all huffy about it is hilarious.
