IT IS really sad to see what is going on at Coventry City and the trouble they find themselves in, especially considering they used to be stalwarts in the Premier League.
I get bored rigid with the goings on at the Sky Blues every day, although I now feel very informed, as Richard Keys is a big Coventry fan and he talks about it non-stop, whether I want to listen or not.

I can see why he is getting so worked up because it really is a difficult situation that the club find themselves in financially – and one that is clearly hurting the team’s ability to get results out on the pitch.

Keysey keeps promising me that something is going to happen and in recent weeks it has looked like the rumblings are there and that positive news is on its way.

I would think that something has to happen, and quickly, if Coventry are going to stay in the Championship.

It is clear to me that Sisu Capital Limited cannot remain at the club.
The fans don’t want them, that is very clear, and they don’t seem to be helping much with regards to the playing side.

I guess you would call them the owners but it is all pretty much up in the air and I don’t think Sisu can stay there much longer.

It seems to me they’ve insisted on selling all their best players – it’s simply asset stripping.

The likes of Marlon King, Aron Gunnarsson, Ben Turner, Kieran Westwood and Lukas Jutkiewicz have all left the club and gone on to pastures new, Lukas having just joined Middlesbrough on a permanent deal.

Manager Andy Thorn got some revenge by beating Middlesbrough quite convincingly last weekend – but he won’t be happy with what is going on at the club I am sure.

Andy has been doing a good job with everything considered and, although looking at the Championship table it doesn’t look good, I think the fact that he has been able to get the players concentrating on the on-field matters then that is really important.

When you look at it from Sisu’s point of view, it seems as though they are just making as much money as they can before they decide to sell. I know there are bids on the table for the club, certainly one very positive bid from Coventry fans, and I really hope something can get sorted sooner rather than later.

Certainly if Sisu decided to accept the offer it would put the club back in business again and on a more secure footing but whether it will happen I don’t know.
They aren’t obliged to sell to anybody and they can hold out as long as they want, as long as they pay the bills.

But it is sad to see the way Coventry are going and it would be great to see somebody sort it out.

Not only because they are a great club with a rich history – but also because I cannot keep listening to Keysey going on about it, it’s doing my head in!

So now Key's has been told to shut up by Hoffman, he gets his buddy Gray to spout off. SISU are talking to Hoffman. I am sure it is a condition of such discussions that there is no public comment. Key's is a loose canon and is going to mess this up for everyone. He needs to shut up, and that includes getting his mates to do the talking for him.

This interview was done early last week!!!!!!! Keys cant be blamed for Gray answering questions regarding the club and if you asked Gray im sure he would say the same. As for what is wrote the club offically announced talks are going to happen so unless Gray state the investors i see no problem...

The more pressure on them the better.

They need to know that people won't let them get away with this sh1t. Much as some would like to quietly let them get on with emulating Luton.

There's not much which Gray has said, which other posters on here didn't know, and wouldn't say, on SBT or elsewhere.

By your logic, we just all STFU in case any of us screwed up the potential takeover.

Great stuff Andy, KUTGW! Given Fishers patronising "Well, I think everyone's been very unfair on poor little SISU" PR BULLSHIT, it is only right that somebody in the media who has opposite opinions articulates them. Lest we forget what they've done-and are doing-to us.

Can't understand the bitterness here. I read this and was impressed the way Andy Gray spoke up, even though he has nothing to do with the club. A good piece of reading as far as I am concerned.

I would imagine , we need all the high profile support we can get, and Richard keys certainly comes into that description, can we channel our derision in the direction of those who are Hurting us, and our cause
And not at those who are, promoting it. if you feel the need to slaq Some one off, vent your spleen in the direction of Sisu, not Andy Thorn, the team, or Richard Keys.
Forth coming Telegraph Head line
"Keys unlocks City Take over stalemate"
Give RIchard Keys a chance he's pro city, For Gods Sake.

for me this is a really good read! Hoffman & keys etc need to put up or shut up on the whole deal thing as this 'its happening rubbish' is getting a little tiresome however!

The thing is that Hoffman is not the investor, he is the broker in the deal and there is no doubt that the businessmen are going to be as shrewd as possible. I will take that as I want someone in charge that won't go and give people what they want, they will act in their best interests, and ultimately the best interests of the club. It is not their club yet and the better a deal that they enter into with SISU (for them) the better it is in the long term interests of the club. If it takes time it takes time. Ultimately the situation tomorrow will not change. He needs two to go to get two in and that is the end of it. If we manage to stay up then great but I would expect these takeover talks to continue. The positive thing is that the talks undoubtedly have gone on off the record for a while, now official talks are going on and STILL going on. Which in itself in progress. We must now be patient.
