Missed all of this as was north of Newcastle at nephew's wedding (always win when I'm away at a wedding). Sunday morning outside the pub we had boarded at got chatting to a Mackem - guess what... 2-2 v Bristol city came up (he claimed the match and the ramifications were even part of a degree course !!) Probably included by a Mackem University lecturer - they just won't let it go! We will also win tomorrow, as I've passed on my season ticket t my mate to (another...gggrrr) school commitment.

I never realised he had stayed down until the ball was put out of play, i remember him falling then sticking out a leg to try and pass it

Very unlucky and I bet he is gutted, particularly as he wasn't picked on Saturday or even on the bench.

Some high winds in Florida, people back home prattling on about Brexit, more stuff about the trans issue, and Palace sack de Boer. Bit of a slow news day.

Hurts like fuck when you first do it but you can get up and walk on it after a minute or 2. Then you can walk to your locker, call the missus, walk down the road, get picked up by her and get the worst bollocking you've ever had because she's only been out of hospital for 2 days and the baby is only 9 days old. In fact, I think my ears hurt more than my knee did.

This reminds me of working at the NEC nearly 30 yrs ago when fitting the Audi stand in an Autosport show. Knocking off at 2-30 in the morning.
We had a site box with literally every electric tool imaginable inside.
The two labourers had done a runner in the 7-5tonner leaving four of us to hump it onto the back of a sprinter, with moi on one of the rear corners and my cartilage popped.
After walking to the car Park to get my car and sliding in then driving the 25 miles home to Pailton it was around 4-00 am when I managed to roll on top the bed,to hear it was my own stupid fault for working over new years bank holiday and I wouldn't be getting a lift to A+E at a more civil hour.

There's an old saying "necessity is the mother of invention" which could be relevant here.

I'm a bit meh about him so far tbh - not too sure what all the fuss is about....nevertheless we are a bit bereft of attacking midfielders with Doyle/Kelly/Stevenson all defensive or certainly from what I have seen. As someone said earlier wouldn't mind seeing Stevenson in and higher up the pitch!

Sorry Johnwillomagic, but is there anybody else who gets irritated with the Meh's, the my bad's, the hollibobs?
Shows how far the English language has fallen?
Glad I got that off my chest.

One of mine is people who don't use capital letters when they should. Like ok instead of OK :wideyed:

Twisted knee, there's no swelling so good signs that there isn't too much damage

Well at least if there is no swelling it almost certainly rules out ACL, as if you tear that it almost always swells.
Could be medial but then again it would have some small amount of welling 9/10.
But could still be anything else. Who would say anywhere between couple weeks- 3/4 months. Off what little we know

When I did my ACl, the swelling was so bad that the next morning you couldn't even tell there was a knee in there! Sounds positive for Andreu though although even with a twisted knee there's a risk of cartilage damage which can sometimes require an operation to repair. Guess it's gonna be a couple of weeks either way til we really know.

Errm, think that deserves a whooosh!

He's just linking the name of the injury with the former Ricoh management company isn't he?
